As an Inventory Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring critical materials are available when and where they are needed. By balancing inventory levels, forecasting demand, and working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, you will help maintain operational excellence while delivering exceptional service.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with data, and collaborating across functions to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.\nLocation: Leixlip\nHours: Mon-Thu 08.00-16.30 , Fri 08.00-15.30\n\nAs an Inventory Planner, you will be responsible for managing inventory planning activities that support operational and customer requirements while optimizing inventory investment.\nYou will:\n\nAnalyse replenishment and consumption data to identify inventory requirements and trends.\nGenerate and review ERP and Excel-based reports to support planning decisions.\nCreate and process purchase requisitions to maintain material availability.\nManage inventory levels by balancing forecast demand against on-hand, on-order and in-transit inventory.\nAct as a key point of contact for customers regarding forecasts, inventory levels, reorder points, backorders, new part introductions and obsolescence management.\nCollaborate with engineers, buyers, commodity managers, warehouse teams and suppliers to ensure effective material planning.\nEscalate material shortages and supply risks that could impact operational performance.\nCoordinate cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.\nInvestigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.\nMaintain accurate material data, master records and BOM information within ERP systems.\nSupport material quality improvement initiatives and recommend process enhancements.\nIdentify opportunities for inventory savings, cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements.\nProvide a high level of service to both internal and external customers.\nWhat we're looking for\n\nYou are analytical, detail-oriented and comfortable working with data.
