Read more at www.dsv.com\nLocation: Fort Worth, TX\nDivision: Road\nJob Posting Title: Logistics Coordinator\nTime Type: Full Time\nSummary\nThe Logistics Coordinator, Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and managing requests from customers, with the goal of meeting and exceeding customer expectations, while accurately tracking various shipment pick-ups to their final deliveries. The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment is critical. Execution of job duties will require a team-oriented individual that is customer service focused, and able to obtain a strong knowledge of systems and vendor capabilities. This individual will be an integral part of the coordination of transportation and operations for DSV Road Transport contractors, company drivers and customers.\nDuties & Responsibilties\nDispatch drivers for U.S. Domestic shipment pick-ups and deliveries. \nEnsures compliance with DOT regulations and established internal policies and guidelines. \nPrioritize time sensitive cargo. \nWorks closely with team members to meet or exceed all customer service requirements. \nDevelops and maintains positive customer, contractor & company driver relationships. \nWorks directly with customers on the receipt and processing of transportation requests. \nUtilizes various transportation software systems to facilitate material movement, planning and scheduling. \nHandles dispatch with contractors, company drivers and partner carriers. \nTracks and traces shipments from pick-up through delivery to ensure accurate and up-to-date shipment information is being provided to customers. \nEnsures problem resolution; including identifying issues, applying critical thinking to determine the best course of action, and implementing solutions. \nResponsible for accurate data capture and system entry. \nCommunicates effectively with customers, contractors, company drivers, partner carriers and team members. \nPromotes the DSV Road Transport brand. \nAssists with new account start-ups. \nAdheres to all domestic and international shipping regulations and compliance. \nPerforms other duties and projects as assigned. \nQualifications & Work Experience\nHigh school diploma or GED required; logistics or transportation experience preferred.\n1-3 years of experience in dispatch, logistics coordination, or a related operational role.\nExperience coordinating domestic shipments, dispatching drivers, and tracking freight through delivery.\nFamiliarity with transportation systems or dispatch software and strong data entry skills.\nBasic knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance, or the ability to learn quickly.\nStrong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.\nSkills & Competencies\nProficient in typing and PC applications, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).\nStrong English language skills, including reading, writing, and verbal communication; Spanish is a plus.\nIntermediate mathematical skills with the ability to work accurately with numbers and data.\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.\nStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.\nFlexible and adaptable to changing schedules and operational needs, including non-standard hours when required.\nDependable, accountable, and committed to meeting expectations and following through on responsibilities.\nStrong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively.\nAbility to work collaboratively within a team environment and adapt to changing operational needs.\nFlexibility to work non-standard hours as required to support operational demands\nPhysical Demands\nThis position is primarily sedentary and requires extended periods of sitting while working at a computer workstation. The role involves frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, data entry, and operating standard office equipment. The employee must be able to communicate effectively, including talking and hearing, to interact with customers, drivers, carriers, and team members via phone, radio, and video conferencing. Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching may be required. Vision abilities required include close vision for reviewing data, screens, and documentation.\nWork Environment\nThis role is performed in a combination of office, dispatch center, terminal, and operations environments within a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting. The work environment includes regular interaction with drivers, dispatch teams, customers, contractors, and partner carriers. The position may involve moderate noise levels due to vehicle traffic, radios, phones, and ongoing operational activity. The role may require occasional presence in or around terminal yards or dock areas, which may involve exposure to varying weather conditions. Flexibility is required to support operational needs, including early mornings, late evenings, weekend coverage, or non-standard hours as business demands dictate.\nThe physical demands and work environment described above are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
