Read more at www.dsv.com\nLocation: USA - Fort Worth, 12100 S Freeway Service Rd\nDivision: Solutions\nJob Posting Title: Manager, Inventory\nTime Type: Full Time\nThe Manager, Inventory Control Operations supports and maintains development, improvement, implementations, and maintaining accuracy and records to ensure the inventory and quality in the warehouse meets local and global DSV standards. The Manager will monitor inventory levels, product movement, control/isolates non-conforming product mix which facilitates efficient order fulfillment. This position will also be responsible for quality activities to support the warehouse including, but not limited to receiving, shipping, and other related functions. This includes tracking, investigating and correcting OS&D (over, short and damage). The Manager will oversee the functions performed by inventory and quality associates and other such staff.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nPromote and support safety initiatives while ensuring adherence to workplace safety standards for all associates.\n\nOversee inventory control activities, including cycle counts and random audits, in line with network counting methodologies and SOX compliance requirements.\n\nMonitor inventory accuracy, quality metrics, and product integrity, providing timely feedback and recommendations to the operations leadership team.\n\nEvaluate customer complaints and defect trends, then develop and implement corrective action plans to minimize recurring issues.\n\nInvestigate inventory variances and determine root causes through structured analysis and problem-solving techniques.\n\nContribute to and lead fulfillment network quality and operational excellence initiatives across multiple sites.\n\nSupport strategic workforce planning, forecasting, and the allocation of tasks and resources.\n\nManage and mentor Inventory Supervisors and hourly associates responsible for Inventory Control and Quality Assurance functions within the fulfillment center.\n\nDirect ICQA leadership activities by guiding Inventory Supervisors, monitoring performance, and driving accountability across the team.\n\nChampion continuous improvement efforts, enhance team capabilities to support business growth, and foster employee engagement and retention.\n\nDevelop a strong understanding of fulfillment center workflows, process exceptions, and operational standards, ensuring consistent execution across all shifts and departments.\n\nReview key performance indicators on a regular basis and conduct audits and analyses to identify process behaviors that may impact inventory accuracy.\n\nPartner with department leaders to identify, evaluate, and support critical projects, operational initiatives, and system improvements.\n\nCollaborate with Loss Prevention teams to implement, maintain, and reinforce security policies and procedures.\n\nWork closely with Operations Managers, Senior Operations Managers, and General Managers to ensure clear communication and enforcement of process compliance expectations.\n\nParticipate in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of new management team members.\n\nSKILLS & ABILITIES\nEducation & Experience:\nMust have a high school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree preferred.\n\nPreferred 5 years’ experience in a medium to large warehouse in a management capacity.\n\n2 years’ experience as an Inventory Manager.\n\nMust be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months that can range from mild to moderate.\n\nComputer Skills:\nStrong computer skills and MS Office Applications.\n\nRF Scanners\n\nWMS Functions\n\nMicrosoft Excel\n\nCertificates & Licenses:\nQuality related certifications preferred.\n\nSatisfactory completion of forklift training program\n\nLanguage Skills\nEnglish (reading, writing, verbal), BilingualEnglish/Spanish preferred.\n\nMathematical Skills\nIntermediatedlevel to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing, and distributing client products.\n\nOther Skills\nEffective communication skills.\n\nGood supervisory and people skills.\n\nAbility to develop work instructions, procedures, and visual aids to support the operation.\n\nWork extra hours as dictated by business needs.\n\nTrain and/or certified in common inventory management, methodologies and tools like six-sigma and lean.\n\nAbility to develop and sustain effective and energized working relationships with leaders to influence and align people at all levels.\n\nDemonstrated ability to teach, coach, mentor, and support project team members to learn and master continuous improvement concepts and skills in an indirect supervisory relationship.\n\nStrong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\n\nMust be analytical and result orientated.\n\nMust be able to foster continuous improvement.\n\nFor this position, the expected base pay range is $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 annually.
