As Air & Sea Operations Manager, you will play a key leadership role in our Dublin branch, overseeing daily freight forwarding operations while driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and team performance.\nThis is an opportunity for an experienced logistics professional to lead a high-performing operation, develop talented teams, and make a measurable impact on service delivery, business growth, and operational success.\nWhat you'll do\nLead the day-to-day Air and Sea Freight operations across the Dublin branch.\nEnsure import and export shipments are managed efficiently, accurately, and in line with customer expectations.\nDrive operational excellence through effective planning, resource allocation, and process improvement.\nMonitor and deliver against customer KPIs and service level agreements.\nManage operational escalations and implement corrective actions when required.\nSupport and implement DSV operational standards and best practices.\nTeam Leadership\nLead, coach, and develop operational supervisors and team members.\nConduct performance reviews and support individual development plans.\nFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.\nSupport succession planning and talent development initiatives.\nEnsure resources and staffing levels meet business requirements.\nCustomer & Stakeholder Management\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.\nParticipate in business reviews with key customers.\nSupport customer onboarding and operational solution design.\nEnsure customer concerns and service issues are addressed promptly and professionally.\nFinancial & Operational Performance\nManage operational productivity and profitability within the Dublin branch.\nMonitor gross profit performance, productivity metrics, and operational costs.\nIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.\nSupport budget planning and ensure effective cost control.\nMaintain accurate operational and financial processes.\nCompliance & Continuous Improvement\nEnsure compliance with customs regulations, transport legislation, security requirements, and DSV policies.\nMaintain adherence to AEO, ISO, Health & Safety, and Quality standards.\nSupport internal and external audits.\nMinimise operational risks, claims, and service failures through strong controls.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives, including digitalisation, automation, and process optimisation.\nUse operational data and reporting to identify opportunities for improvement.\nSupport regional and global DSV projects and initiatives.\nWhat we're looking for\nManagement experience within Air Freight, Sea Freight, Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or Supply Chain operations.\nStrong knowledge of international freight forwarding and customs procedures.\nProven experience leading and developing operational teams.\nExperience managing customer service performance and operational KPIs.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.\nA commercial mindset with experience managing productivity, profitability, and operational costs.\nNice to have\nExperience within a multinational freight forwarding environment.\nKnowledge of CargoWise One and Microsoft Office applications.\nLean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement qualifications.\nWhat can we offer you?\nCompetitive Salary Package and an opportunity to be a part of and grow within a driven and successful company, with a team of 160,000, operating in over 90 countries.\nIn addition, we can offer access to a selection of employee benefits, such as:\nEnhanced Annual Leave Entitlement from your start, which increases with length of service.\nSalary Sacrifice Cycle Scheme\nEmployee counselling, for support with physical and mental wellbeing\nCompany Pension, which, when a member of, also provides access to Life Cover and Critical Illness cover\nNext Steps\nIf this sounds like the next step for you, please follow the links and apply with your CV without delay!
