The Tender Specialist ensures compliance with tender processes, maintains accurate pricing data, and contributes to competitive, customer focused proposals that help secure new and existing business.\nThe scope of work includes time-sensitive projects requiring the appointed candidate to perform in a fast-paced environment while managing several projects concurrently\nKEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nPricing & Tender Execution\nLead the end-to-end process of responding to tenders and RFx requests, ensuring complete, accurate, and timely submissions on or before customer-designated due dates.\nAnalyze tender and distribute tasks to internal stakeholders, and review/validate information received from the internal stakeholders\nCoordinate with Air, Sea, Road, and Customs Brokerage teams to gather all data required for tender submissions.\nDeliver informed decisions about appropriate price points for various transport modes (Air & Sea) based on analysis of internal data, external market data, and customer needs.\nCompile and pre-populate pricing inputs using Microsoft Excel VLOOKUP and advanced formula techniques.\nPopulate pricing templates with proper rates, accessorials, and fuel billing rules; verify that all pricing is correct and recorded in company databases per company procedures.\nMaintain tender data profiling and records, including the update of monthly bid log and completed tenders\nSupport market intelligence on competitors pricing, capabilities, facilities, client base, products and services for competition analysis\nStakeholder Liaison & Communication\nServe as the liaison between Sales, Clients, and Operations for all questions regarding tender responses.\nLiaise with and provide pricing rates to the globalDSV network for global tenders.\nCollaborate with internal departments and global stakeholders to develop compelling, competitive proposals.\nManage and incorporate customer feedback throughout the tender cycle.\nCommunicate effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment - ability to engage at all levels of the organisation is essential.\nAnalysis & Competitive Positioning\nAnalyse customer requirements and shipment data to identify optimal transport solutions and develop the strongest possible business case.\nConduct profitability analysis and competitive analysis to ensure the competitiveness of pricing structures.\nDevelop and analyse detailed reports, charts, shipment simulations, and variance calculations using Microsoft Excel.\nIdentify opportunities for improving pricing and profitability ofexisting and new accounts.\nAnalyse shipment volume and revenue to assess the effectiveness and profitability of pricing strategies.\nStay informed about industry trends, market conditions (Air & Sea), competitor pricing, and trade lane developments.\nProcess & Compliance\nAudit and review processes to ensure compliance with pricing recommendations and department guidelines\nMaintain accurate tender documentation, including tender files, and records of communication.\nQuality, Health & Safety:\nSupports organizational commitment to ISO 9001, ISO 45001 certification - Montreal location\nPerform assigned tasks to support DSV meets its objectives and targets regarding quality, health, safety and environment and follow all requirements as set out in the DSV Quality Health Safety Environment policy.\nStaff are required to ensure that their day-to-day activities embrace sustainability, Health and safety therefore reducing the impact upon the environment, supporting the communities we work in and reducing incidents in the workplace.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation and Experience\nPost-Secondary studies in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or related fields\nMinimum of 3 years international transportation industry experience \nRelevant industry certifications considered an asset (i.e. CIFFA, APICS)\nSkills and Competencies\nGood command, both verbal and written, English skills. \nAbility to create collaborative engagements and active listening\nService oriented and able to resolve customer grievances \nStrong interpersonal skills, building professional relationships internally and externally \nStrong problem-solving skills and analytical skills \nAbility to multi-task, plan, prioritize and manage time effectively to meet goals and achieve results\nBoth a team builder and a team-player \nExcellent organizational and time management skills\nAct as a role model for DSV values and adhere to the Code of Conduct\nLanguage and Computer Skills\nEnglish is the principal language for this position, additional languages may be required in other locations. \nAbility to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment.\nCargoWise experience, an asset\nPhysical Demands\nProlonged periods sitting and standing at a desk and working on a computer\nRegular working hours apply for this position, at times, working beyond these hours may be required by business needs.\nAdditional Notes / Acknowledgment\nDue to the dynamic nature of our industry, your accountabilities and role may change.
