The role is ideal for an experienced SAP professional who wants to leverage their SAP expertise in a broader coordination capacity, focusing on release management, change coordination, and cross-project planning rather than day-to-day defect resolution or enhancement delivery. Working across solutions including SAP S/4HANA, MDG, BW/4HANA, SAC, GRDC, and related integration platforms. Acting as a central coordination point, the SAP Complex Release Coordinator works closely with project teams, architects, technical experts, and business stakeholders to ensure successful and well-controlled releases.\nWhat you'll do:\nIdentify and coordinate complex or cross-project SAP release windows\n\nMaintain a consolidated view of projects, release scope, transports, integrations, dependencies and key milestones\n\nIdentify, document and actively follow up on technical and cross-project dependencies\n\nCoordinate dependency discussions between SAP S/4HANA, MDG, BW/4HANA, SAC, GRDC and related systems\n\nIdentify release conflicts, sequencing constraints and potential risks and coordinate their resolution\n\nCoordinate integrated cut-over plans, including sequencing, timing, dependencies, downtime and support requirements\n\nTrack release readiness across projects, including testing, approvals, CHG status, transport readiness and rollback plans\n\nEnsure unresolved dependencies and risks are escalated to the appropriate technical or project owner\n\nSupport go/no-go alignment and coordination during critical or weekend releases\n\nCapture actions, decisions, risks and lessons learned\n\nSupport Release Management with complete and timely information for complex releases\n\nMaintain release calendars, dependency trackers, readiness overviews and coordination templates\n\nEnsure alignment with SAP Release Management and Finance IT processes\n\nIdentify recurring issues and contribute to continuous improvement of release coordination\n\nWhat we're looking for:\nSeveral years of proven experience working with complex SAP landscapes and SAP project deliveries\n\nExperience in SAP Release Management, Release Coordination, Delivery Coordination or a similar role is a plus\n\nStrong understanding of SAP release and transport processes\n\nPractical experience with SAP environments such as: SAP S/4HANA, MDG, BW/4HANA, SAC, GRDC and related integrations\n\nExperience identifying and managing technical dependencies across SAP projects and systems\n\nGood understanding of the SAP delivery lifecycle from build and testing through release, go-live and hypercare\n\nAbility to understand technical discussions, challenge assumptions and involve the right technical experts when required\n\nStrong stakeholder management and communication skills\n\nExperience with ServiceNow CHG and/or SAP release management tools such as ChaRM is an advantage\n\nStructured, detail-oriented, proactive and pragmatic approach to managing complex and time-critical situations\n\nAnalytical, structured and technically curious\n\nAble to challenge and escalate when required while maintaining good relationships\n\nAble to balance governance and process with pragmatic business delivery\n\nPersistent in following up on actions and unresolved dependencies","description_format":"text","description_chars":3454,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Transportation & Logistics","Sea Freight","Logistics"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-23T13:12:37Z"}],"liveness":{"score":81,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.811,"p_room":1,"age_days":5,"expected_fill_days":21,"reasons":["seen:5","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-09-29T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/dsv-sap-complex-release-coordinator","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/dsv-sap-complex-release-coordinator.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-30T05:30:50Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":3871,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":1129,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-01T00:00:00Z"}}}
