This role will involve working closely with other departments within the company, as well as external partners and suppliers, to ensure efficient and effective transportation and logistics processes are in place.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nOversee the transportation and logistics department's daily operations to ensure all processes run smoothly and efficiently\n\nCoordinate with internal departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure customer needs are met\n\nDevelop and implement transportation and logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability\n\nCollaborate with external partners, such as carriers and suppliers, to maintain strong relationships and ensure reliable transportation services\n\nMonitor transportation and logistics performance metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary\n\nConduct regular audits of transportation and logistics processes to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations\n\nProvide timely and accurate reports on transportation and logistics activities to management\n\nIdentify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize transportation and logistics operations\n\nEducational background / Work experience\nA bachelor's degree in transportation and logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.\n\nA minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation and logistics management is required. Experience in the freight forwarding industry is preferred.\n\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong organizational and project management skills\n\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\n\nKnowledge of transportation and logistics regulations and compliance\n\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills\n\nAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nCertification in transportation and logistics, such as Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) or Certified Logistics Professional (CLP)\n\nExperience with transportation management software (TMS)\n\nLanguage skills\nFluent in English (oral and written)\n\nComputer Literacy\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.\n\nExperience with transportation management software (TMS) is preferred.\n\nAt Will Employment\nDSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as “at will” employees.
