Southern Ave\nDivision: Solutions\nJob Posting Title: Senior Team Lead, Inventory Planner\nTime Type: Full Time\nSummary\nThe Senior Team Lead, Planner reports directly to the Operations Manager and plays a primary role in ensuring the client site receives high-quality inventory management services. This position is responsible for proactively coordinating material stocking levels, consumption analysis, and purchase requisitions to support operations in accordance with DSV IMS guidelines and the Customer Scope of Work.\nActing as a key bridge for the manager, the Senior Team Lead communicates regularly with engineers, buyers, warehouse staff, and suppliers to ensure an adequate material supply while minimizing inventory investment. By providing a high level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, they ensure all inventory activities are delivered efficiently and align with the specific requirements of the client's account.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nAssists Site Lead in supervision of planners and customer service specialists including back-up duties, vacation or time off coverage• Meets with other Site Leads and Operations Managers to share best practices and develop new methodologies\nPublishes and reviews operational metrics to contribute to real-time decision making\nPerforms planning activities including material & consumption analysis, purchase request generation & coordination / communications with Tool Owner\nGenerates reports in ERP system and exports to Excel, reviews and analyzes data and responds accordingly\nInitiates, reviews and processes Purchase Demand/Requisitions\nEffectively communicates with clients both verbally and in writing\nActs as the primary customer contact regarding forecast, new part adds, Min/Max levels, reorder points, backorders, obsolescence, etc.\nCommunicates with engineers, tool owners, buyers, and commodity managers to review forecast, consumption history, material changes, new part adds, etc.\nCollaborates with warehouse, shipping/receiving staff to process material returns/repairs, which may include packing, preparing material for shipment and communication with supplier\nManages material quality issues, providing strategic analysis and recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives\nIdentifies & develops material savings projects to generate cost savings and efficiency improvements\nPerforms other job-related duties as required.\nEducational background / Work experience\nBachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 3 years of professional experience required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.\nFive (5) years of supply chain related work experience (inventory planning or purchasing)\nSkills & Competencies\nExcellent organizational and time management skills• Strong leadership and team management abilities\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nAttention to detail and accuracy\nStrong understanding of ERP systems (Priority)\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software\nFunction / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Processes\nSupervisory Responsibilities (if any)\nStrong leadership skills• Be able to work in tandem with team members and foster a cooperative work environment\nEffective oral & written communications skills\nStrong analytical skills with focus on critical thinking and business process management\nSelf-motivated, energetic, and able to perform with little supervision\nFlexibility & ability to succeed in an unstructured, evolving environment\nStrong customer service (external & internal customers) and interpersonal skills\nExperience managing projects in a customer facing environment\nPreferred Qualifications\n3-5 years of experience in a production control and inventory environment• ISO and Aerospace environment background\nWorking knowledge of business processes including consignment and VMI\nLanguage Skills\nFluent in English (written and spoken)\nComputer Literacy\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software\nAt Will Employment\nDSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as “at will” employees.
