This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing operational processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nLead and supervise a team of freight handlers and operational staff.\nAssign tasks, provide guidance, and monitor performance to ensure efficient operations.\nCoordinate the loading, unloading, and handling of freight shipments.\nEnsure proper documentation, labeling, and packaging of goods in compliance with regulations.\nPlan and prioritize freight operations to meet customer demands and deadlines.\nMonitor workflow and adjust resources as needed to optimize efficiency.\nLiaise with customers, carriers, and other stakeholders to coordinate freight movements and address inquiries or issues.\nEnsure timely communication and resolution of customer concerns.\nImplement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and integrity of freight handling processes.\nConduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high standards of service quality.\nEnforce safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe working environment.\nConduct safety training and provide guidance on proper handling techniques.\nOversee inventory control processes, including stock management, cycle counts, and reconciliation.\nMaintain accurate inventory records and ensure compliance with inventory management policies.\nPrepare operational reports, including performance metrics, inventory levels, and incident reports.\nMaintain accurate documentation of freight movements, including bills of lading and shipping manifests.\nEducational background / Work experience\nBachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
