Supporting the Management Team with the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, responsible for a group of operators and ensuring an efficient warehouse operation in achieving business targets.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nOperations\nAssist in running an efficient warehouse operation which fulfils operational and customer demand and meet set targets\nIdentify any systems improvements and make recommendations for change\nProduce regular reports and statistics as and when required\nEnsure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency\nPeople Management\nCommunicate with staff on a regular basis to ensure awareness of priorities, targets and operational requirements\nReport progress updates, key achievements, and any concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Manager\nActively committed to teams’ development and growth\nHave a collaborative approach to working with others.\nSafety\nEnsure that working area is clean and all equipment stored in its proper place at the end of the shift\nEnsure that all lifting and maneuvering of products and materials is carried out in accordance with proper handling procedures\nEnsure staff comply to health and safety regulations and work safely to protect themselves and others in the warehouse environment.\nCustomer Service\nLiaise with customers, suppliers, and transport companies when required in a timely manner.\nPRIMARY INTERACTIONS:\nThe primary exchange will be working with supervisors, warehouse operators and Forklift\nREQUIRED COMPETENCIES, SKILLS:\nLeadership skills\nAbility to lead, motivate and develop others\nCommunication skill\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nComputer Skills\nKnowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management System)\nProficient in MS Word (Outlook and Excel)\nOther\nExcellent attention to detail skills\nAnalytical and numerical skills\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment.\nMINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:\nDiploma or degree in Supply chain management, Logistics or Business Administration\n2-3 years of leadership experience in warehousing environment \nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nThis position may require standing and walking for up to 80% of the time.
