Dobson Rd\nDivision: Solutions\nJob Posting Title: Training Specialist, Operations\nTime Type: Full Time\nShift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm\nHourly Rate: $20.50 - $25.63\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nThe Operations Training Assistant will organize and facilitate training activities at the site in support of DSV’s overall training strategy. Serves as an ongoing assistant with educational and training resource to ensure all facility employees receive training needed to effectively complete their jobs.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nProvide effective on-the-job training and coaching.\nObserve and evaluate associates to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.\nAt the completion of training, submit a completed training plan, indicating date and areas trained (i.e. picking, packing). \nAttend staff meetings and other meetings as required by leadership.\nProvide refresher training at the request of leadership.\nWhen not perform training, execute warehouse duties as assigned.\nEnsures training sessions are properly prepared and executed with established materials, within established timelines.\nProvide feedback and training progress to Supervisors and Managers based on individual trainee needs.\nDocument/track the training for associates.\nTrains staff on Material Handling Equipment for general training and purpose of certification.\nOTHER DUTIES\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nWork overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.\nMINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nEducation and/or Experience\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nCertificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations\nNone\nOther\nMust be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate.\nSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES\nComputer Skills\nProficiency with Microsoft Office\nLanguage Skills\nEnglish (reading, writing, verbal)\nBilingual, Spanish preferred\nOther\nPrevious experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.\nCurrent or prior experience using WMS.\nCurrent or prior experience using RF Scanner.\nWorking knowledge of field operations and/or training principles.\nSoftware skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.\nVerbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with various audiences and ability to effectively provide employees instruction on process and practice. \nPresentation skills necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver informational sessions to groups and/or individuals.\nTime management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple processes, appropriately prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals, and respond to day-to-day functional needs.\nAbility to mentor, coach, and act as a knowledge resource to other employees.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nOccasionally\nBending\nFrequently\nWalking and Standing\nConstantly\nSitting\nAbility to Lift/Carry and Push/Pull\n11-20 pounds\nReach above shoulder, squat, or kneel.\nOther Physical Requirements:\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.\nFor this position, the expected base pay range is $20.50 - $25.63 hourly.
