May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Software Engineering role specializes in planning, documenting technical requirements, designing, developing, and testing all software systems and applications for the firm. Works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and enhancement of existing software systems and applications, proposing and recommending solutions that solve complex business problems.\nLead design and development of ETL/data pipelines, enabling scalable data ingestion, transformation, and consumption.\nBuild and optimize data pipelines on AWS (EMR, S3, Spark) and Snowflake, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.\nDrive API-based and file-based ingestion frameworks for internal and external data sources.\nEstablish and enforce best practices across ETL, CI/CD, and data engineering frameworks.\nLead performance tuning and optimization across pipelines and data workloads.\nManage delivery, estimation, and cross-squad coordination.\nMentor team members and contribute to data platform innovation and continuous improvement.\nQualifications:\nMinimum 8+ years of related experience\nBachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience\nCore Skills\nStrong experience in AWS (EMR, S3) and Snowflake/Oracle/Postgres (data modeling, optimization).\nProficiency in Spark/PySpark.\nExperience with API integrations, batch/stream data ingestion.\nHands-on with CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Maven, Jira).\nAdditional Skills\nGood to have Java or Python coding skill\nExperience supporting enterprise data platforms or similar.\nStrong focus on data quality, validation, and performance optimization.\nAbility to translate business analytics needs into scalable data solutions.\nStrong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.\nAdditional Qualifications:\nSolid ability to capture and analyze requirements and translate them into technical specification.\nWriting and implementing the unit test scenarios / cases to ensure the code quality and reliability.\nDeep understanding of all lifecycle components (code, test, deploy)\nAbility to communicate designs to peers and Product Owner for approval.\nFix and debugging code to resolve technical issues.\nOptimizing application performance to ensure efficient use of software resources.\nGood verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills\nActual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
