The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of blockchain technology and smart contract capabilities, along with strong hands-on Rust expertise. You will own smart contract components from design through deployment and ongoing lifecycle management, helping ensure that DTCC’s blockchain solutions are secure, efficient, reliable and aligned with the requirements of a regulated financial-services environment.\nYour Primary Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop and deploy smart contracts in Rust for Stellar using Soroban and for Solana\nOwn smart contract modules from design through deployment and ongoing lifecycle management\nLead code reviews and contribute to security assessments and audit readiness\nDesign and enhance testing strategies, deployment pipelines and reusable contract libraries\nCollaborate cross-functionally to integrate smart contracts with platform and backend services\nIdentify, analyze and mitigate smart contract security, reliability and performance risks\nMentor Associate engineers and promote best practices in Rust and smart contract development\nParticipate in incident response and root-cause analysis for smart contract-related issues\nCollaborate with frontend and backend developers to integrate smart contracts with web applications\nStay current with cryptographic and blockchain advancements to help identify and mitigate potential security threats\nWork closely with product managers and stakeholders to clarify technical requirements and define system architecture\nShare blockchain and smart contract expertise with both technical and nontechnical team members\nStay current with developments across the blockchain ecosystem and adapt solutions as appropriate\n**NOTE: The Primary Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above. **\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (preferred), or equivalent practical experience\n4+ years of professional software engineering experience\n2+ years of hands-on Rust development experience\n1+ years of experience developing smart contracts or blockchain-based applications\nExperience developing Rust smart contracts in a production environment\nStrong understanding of blockchain security, distributed systems and cryptographic principles\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and secure software-delivery practices\nTalents Needed for Success:\nDemonstrated experience performing both manual and automated testing in enterprise software environments\nExperience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites\nStrong understanding of software development lifecycles, Agile methodologies, and quality engineering practices\nExperience testing REST APIs, web applications, microservices, and distributed systems\nKnowledge of defect tracking, test management, and reporting tools\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders\nExperience testing blockchain, digital-asset, or distributed-ledger platforms, including smart contracts and on-chain/off-chain transaction workflows\nExperience with permissioned blockchain networks or AppChains; exposure to Hyperledger Besu or comparable enterprise blockchain technology is strongly preferred\nHands-on experience with modern automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Postman, or comparable technologies\nExperience working with CI/CD platforms and automated quality gates\nKnowledge of performance, security, and resiliency testing practices\nWe offer top class training and development for you to be an asset in our organization!\nThe salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
