You will lead the design and operation of secure, resilient, and highly available IBM MQ platforms, driving adoption of cloud-native, containerized, and automated architectures across hybrid environments.\nIn this role, you will act as a technical leader and trusted partner to application teams, cloud platform engineers, and operations stakeholders-ensuring messaging services are scalable, observable, and aligned with critical business needs.\nYour Primary Responsibilities:\nLead the design, deployment, and operation of IBM MQ and App Connect Enterprise (ACE) across AWS cloud and OpenShift-based container platforms\nDrive platform modernization through containerization, automation, and cloud-native patterns\nInstall, configure, and manage IBM MQ queue managers supporting high availability and disaster recovery architectures\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning and MQ platform deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Chef, and Ansible\nIntegrate MQ build, deployment, and configuration workflows into CI/CD pipelines\nMonitor, tune, and optimize messaging performance using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and MeshIQ (APM6)\nTroubleshoot complex messaging, connectivity, and performance issues across hybrid and cloud environments\nImplement and manage IBM MQ security controls, including TLS/SSL, CHLAUTH, and LDAP integration\nPartner closely with application, platform, and operations teams to deliver reliable and scalable messaging solutions\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and runbooks, and support knowledge transition to operations teams\nQualifications\n6+ years of experience supporting enterprise messaging or middleware platforms, with strong depth in IBM MQ\nExperience supporting mission-critical production systems in large-scale or regulated environments\nBachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent practical experience\nTalent Needed for Success\nMessaging & Platform Expertise\n6+ years of hands-on IBM MQ administration experience in enterprise environments\nStrong expertise in queue managers, channels, clustering, and high availability / disaster recovery architectures\nExperience supporting mission-critical messaging platforms in production environments\nCloud, Containers & Automation\nExperience operating containerized messaging platforms in OpenShift and/or Kubernetes\nProven experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Chef, Ansible or Terraform.\nExperience deploying or operating MQ platforms in cloud or hybrid environments (AWS preferred)\nSystems, Security & Reliability\nSolid background in Linux/Unix operating systems\nExperience implementing IBM MQ security controls, including TLS/SSL, CHLAUTH, and LDAP integration\nWorking knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts such as observability, SLAs, and SLOs\nWays of Working\nStrong ownership mindset with the ability to drive outcomes independently\nComfortable collaborating across application, platform, and operations teams\nStrong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex, cross-platform issues\nNice to Have Skills\nExperience with IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE)\nExposure to MQ Internet Pass-Thru (MQ IPT)\nExperience integrating MQ build and deployment processes into CI/CD pipelines\nStrong scripting skills (e.g., Bash); experience with C/C++ or Java is a plus\nFamiliarity with observability and performance tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, or MeshIQ (APM6)\nCloud and/or container platform certifications (AWS, OpenShift, Kubernetes)\nThe salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
