May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions.\nThe Software Engineering role specializes in planning, documenting technical requirements, designing, developing, and testing all software systems and applications for the firm. Works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and enhancement of existing software systems and applications, proposing and recommending solutions that solve complex business problems specifications are met.\nYour Primary Responsibilities:\nSupport the coaching, mentoring and development of team members\nManage the day-to-day activities of the team and specific business applications (including technical designs) across multiple locations\nManage the software development process\nEstimate total costs for modules/projects covering both hours and expense\nEnsure success criteria is met from design through deployment via cost-effectiveness, data integrity and reuse\nSupport total delivery and a risk management mindset by anticipating and solving problems\nSupport an environment to ensure employees understand how their efforts contribute to overall business strategy\nCollaborate with business partners and Business Architecture to drive innovation and re-imagine capabilities\nEmbed a risk management mindset of resiliency, security, and controls into applications\nManage technical processes and designs considering non-functional requirements\nMitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.\nQualifications:\nMinimum of 8 years of related experience\nBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience\nEffective written and verbal communication for issue reporting\nTalents Needed for Success:\nStrong technical skills in distributed middleware technologies - Java, Springboot, MQ, Kafka\nHands-on experience in multiple platforms - Linux, AWS Cloud, OCP4 Containers\nPrior experience in modernization projects is a plus\nFosters a culture where honesty and transparency are expected.\nStays current on changes in his/her own specialist area and seeks out learning opportunities to ensure knowledge is up to date.\nInvests in effort to individually coach others.\nBuild collaborative teams across the organization.\nCommunicates openly keeping everyone across the organization informed.\nActual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
