The Impact you will have in this role:

The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Software Engineering role specializes in planning, documenting technical requirements, designing, developing, and testing all software systems and applications for the firm. Works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and enhancement of existing software systems and applications, proposing and recommending solutions that solve complex business problems.

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer with 4-8 years of experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications, automation solutions, and data processing frameworks that support critical business and regulatory operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python development, API integrations, database technologies, and workflow automation. This role requires close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications, services, and automation frameworks.
• Build scalable data processing and integration solutions using Python.
• Develop and consume REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Write efficient SQL queries and optimize database interactions.
• Automate manual business processes to improve operational efficiency.
• Develop reusable components, utilities, and shared frameworks for enterprise use.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security policies, and software development best practices.
• Participate in application support, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and defect resolution. Conduct code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge repositories.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance activities across development and production environments.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of related experience

  Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:

• 4-8 years of experience in Python development.
• Strong experience with Python frameworks and libraries
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and system integrations.
• Strong knowledge of automation, scripting, and data processing.
• Experience working with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of software design principles and coding best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP platforms.
• Exposure to ETL/data engineering solutions.
• Experience working with cloud-native applications.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and containerization technologies.
• Familiarity with regulatory, risk, compliance, or financial services domains.
