As a Platform Engineer supporting the Enterprise Redis platform, you will play a key role in delivering highly available, secure, and scalable distributed data services that support critical applications across the firm.\nThis role offers exposure to distributed systems, cloud technologies, automation, observability, platform modernization, and large-scale production environments. You will partner closely with application development teams, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity teams, and cloud engineering teams to deliver resilient platform solutions that support DTCC's mission as critical market infrastructure.\nYour Primary Responsibilities\nBuild, configure, maintain, and support Redis platform environments across development, testing, disaster recovery, and production.\nSupport onboarding of new applications to the Enterprise Redis platform and provide guidance on architecture, high availability, performance, and scalability best practices.\nMonitor platform health, performance, capacity, and availability to ensure operational excellence and service reliability.\nTroubleshoot complex issues involving distributed systems, Linux operating systems, networking, cloud infrastructure, and application integrations.\nSupport platform upgrades, patching activities, configuration management, and disaster recovery exercises.\nDevelop and enhance automation solutions using scripting and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.\nPartner with application teams to optimize Redis deployments and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.\nContribute to observability initiatives by enhancing monitoring, alerting, logging, and operational dashboards.\nCreate and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, standards, and engineering procedures.\nParticipate in production support activities, maintenance windows, and on-call rotations as required.\nCollaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to ensure platform security, compliance, and resiliency.\nSupport cloud modernization initiatives across AWS and hybrid infrastructure environments.\nFollow DTCC governance standards, engineering best practices, and risk management requirements.\nAlign risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk and escalate appropriately.\nQualifications\nMinimum of 4 years of experience in Platform Engineering, Systems Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience preferred.\nExperience supporting Linux-based enterprise platforms in production environments.\nExperience troubleshooting infrastructure, operating system, network, and application-related issues.\nExperience with automation and scripting technologies such as Python, Shell, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.\nUnderstanding of high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, performance tuning, and operational resilience concepts.\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms and modern infrastructure practices.\nPreferred Experience\nExperience administering Redis Enterprise or open-source Redis environments.\nExperience supporting distributed data platforms, databases, caching technologies, or search platforms.\nExperience with AWS services such as EC2, EBS, VPC, Route 53, IAM, and CloudWatch.\nExperience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, or similar technologies.\nExperience with observability and monitoring platforms including Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, Dynatrace, or comparable tools.\nExperience supporting mission-critical, high-availability production environments.\nFamiliarity with containerized and cloud-native technologies.\nWorking knowledge of network fundamentals, TLS/SSL certificates, load balancing, and platform security controls.\nExperience in financial services, regulated industries, or other highly controlled enterprise environments is a plus.\nTalents Needed for Success\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex technical problems.\nPassion for learning new technologies and improving operational efficiency through automation.\nExcellent collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across engineering, infrastructure, security, and application teams.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.\nDemonstrates ownership, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset.\nFosters a culture where honesty and transparency are expected.\nCommunicates openly with team members and stakeholders.\nResolves disagreements effectively while maintaining strong working relationships.\nContributes positively to team success and promotes knowledge sharing.\nActual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
