This role will be central to enabling self-service infrastructure provisioning, standardization, and platform engineering maturity across the organization.\nThe individual will help establish reusable platform capabilities that improve developer experience, accelerate environment provisioning, and enable API-first orchestration across cloud, infrastructure, CI/CD, identity, and security services.\nYour Primary Responsibilities:\nDesign and implement the enterprise Developer Portal using Backstage.\nBuild and maintain Backstage plugins, scaffolder templates, and workflow automation.\nDevelop an executable blueprint orchestration layer integrated with enterprise systems.\nIntegrate Backstage with CI/CD, infrastructure, and security tooling including Jenkins, Terraform, Vault, ArgoCD, GitHub/GitOps, and related enterprise platforms.\nDefine and manage software catalog structures, ownership models, taxonomy, and metadata standards.\nEnable self-service environment provisioning and developer experience improvements for application and platform teams.\nImplement RBAC, authentication, authorization, and enterprise identity integrations such as OAuth and SSO.\nDrive API-first orchestration across platform services and reusable enterprise capabilities.\nCollaborate with platform, cloud, infrastructure, application, and security teams to align on standards, integration patterns, and delivery priorities.\nEstablish best practices for platform engineering, internal developer portals, blueprint lifecycle management, and developer experience.\n**NOTE: The Primary Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above. **\nQualifications:\nMinimum of 10+ years of relevant experience\nBachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent experience\nDemonstrated ability to deliver production-ready platform capabilities in partnership with architecture, engineering, security, and operations teams.\nHands-on background across developer tooling, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, identity integration, API automation, and cloud-native platforms.\nTalents Needed for Success:\nMin 7+ years of software engineering, platform engineering, or related technology delivery experience.\nStrong expertise in Backstage platform development and internal developer portal implementation.\nProven experience building custom Backstage plugins, templates, scaffolder actions, and scaffolder workflows.\nStrong hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and React.\nExperience integrating Backstage with enterprise tooling such as Jenkins, Terraform, TechRadar, GitHub or Bitbucket, Vault, ArgoCD, and GitOps workflows.\nStrong understanding of developer self-service platforms, internal developer portals, and platform engineering practices.\nExperience with API-driven orchestration, workflow automation, and reusable infrastructure or application blueprints.\nExperience implementing RBAC and enterprise authentication patterns including OAuth, SSO, and related identity integrations.\nSolid understanding of software catalog models, service metadata, ownership, lifecycle, and blueprint concepts.\nPreferred:\nExperience integrating Backstage with Kubernetes or OpenShift in an AWS environment.\nFamiliarity with platform engineering operating models, golden paths, paved roads, and developer experience metrics.\nExperience operating in large-scale enterprise environments with complex governance, security, and integration requirements.\nFinancial services experience is preferred but not required.\nThe salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
