May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET) role encompasses automation development and execution, functional, and non-functional testing. The SDET role specializes in the design, development, execution, and maintenance of automated tests to ensure the quality of software products. Partners with team members to understand software requirements and execute automated tests that validate the functionality while considering privacy and security requirements\nYour Primary Responsibilities:\nContribute expertise in the application of different software development and testing methodologies, tools, and technologies\nDesign, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests across the delivery lifecycle\nContribute to the design of the automation framework and enhancement\nMaintain traceability from user stories through test cases to automated scripts\nIdentify dependencies, define, and communicate environmental and data requirements\nAct as a technical expert on one or more applications utilized by DTCC\nResearch and evaluate technical solutions consistent with DTCC technology standards\nAlign risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately\nPartner with team members to understand software requirements and design automated tests that validate the functionality while considering privacy and security requirements\nCreate applications and construct unit test cases that ensure compliance with functional requirements\nWork with peers to mature ways of working to implement and maintain continuous testing within the software delivery processes and integrate automated test with CI/CD pipeline\nCollaborate with internal and external teams on development, testing, troubleshooting, and improve overall software quality\nAligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately\nQualifications:\nMinimum of 6 years of related experience\nBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience\nTalents Needed for Success:\nHands On experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc. as well as CI/CD technologies (e.g. Cloudbees, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Cucumber, Git, JUnit, Jira etc.).\nExtensive experience with testing modern scripting language-based components. Strong experience with automated testing and test-driven development\nDetailed understanding of smoke testing, functional, and non-black box testing, as well as regression testing\nKnowledge of software testing methodologies and techniques, including unit testing, integration testing, and functional testing\nExpert and hands on with backend test automation using Rest Assured/Karate for API testing. JDBC/JPA for database testing (Oracle/ DB2/ Snowflake).\nExperience in Software Development\nProficiency in programming language (Java & Python)\nKnowledge of Databases and SQL preferred. \nExperience in writing sophisticated SQL queries.\nExperienced in Agile/Waterfall, onsite/offshore work model and coordination.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nStrong teamwork and collaboration skills.\nActual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
