May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET) role encompasses automation development and execution, functional, and non-functional testing. The SDET role specializes in the design, development, execution, and maintenance of automated tests to ensure the quality of software products. Partners with team members to understand software requirements and execute automated tests that validate the functionality while considering privacy and security requirements\nYour Primary Responsibilities:\nApply different software development and testing methodologies, tools, and technologies\nDevelop, execute, and maintain automated tests across the delivery lifecycle\nMaintain traceability from user stories through test cases to automated scripts\nIdentify dependencies for environmental and data requirements.\nDevelop applications and construct unit test cases that ensure compliance with functional requirements\nFollow design and code standards, contributing to continuous improvement discussions\nAlign risk and control processes into day-to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately\nCreate and maintain system documentation\nSupport senior team members to implement solutions using software delivery best practices\nWork with peers to mature ways of working, contributing to continuous testing within the software delivery processes and integrate automated test with CI/CD pipeline\nPartner with team members to understand software requirements and design automated tests that validate the functionality\nCollaborate with internal and external teams on development, testing, troubleshooting, and improve overall software quality\nAligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately\nQualifications:\nMinimum of 4 years of related experience\nBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience\nTalents Needed for Success:\nProven experience leading end-to-end test planning and execution in Agile delivery environments\nStrong experience in functional testing, automation testing, integration testing, and defect lifecycle management\nHands-on experience with test design techniques such as equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, decision table testing, pairwise testing, and exploratory testing\nExperience working with JIRA and ALM/AQM for requirements traceability, test management, reporting, and issue tracking\nExperience with one or more programming/scripting languages such as Java or Python\nExperience with automation and API testing tools/frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, Karate, Rest Assured, or similar\nExperience with source control and CI/CD tooling such as Git / Bitbucket and Jenkins\nFamiliarity with AI Prompt Engineering, AI Agents, and productivity tooling to improve test design, coverage, and execution efficiency\nStrong experience validating file-based and data-intensive workflows involving XML, CSV, schema validation, field mappings, transformations, and database verification\nExperience in financial services, regulatory/reporting processes, onboarding flows, portal-based applications, or data-platform testing preferred\nExperience coordinating across multiple teams, managing dependencies, and communicating quality status to stakeholders and leadership preferred\n.
