May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages.\nSoftware Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Software Engineering role specializes in planning, documenting technical requirements, designing, developing, and testing all software systems and applications for the firm. Works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and enhancement of existing software systems and applications, proposing and recommending solutions that solve complex business problems.\nYour Primary Responsibilities:\nDevelop applications in compliance with functional and non-functional requirements\nConstruct unit test cases that ensure compliance with functional and non-functional requirements\nFollow design and code standards, contributing to continuous improvement discussions\nCreate and maintain system documentation\nAlign risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately\nContribute to the design of components or individual programs\nProvide production support for applications as needed\nWork with subject matter experts reviewing technical designs and specifications\nApply different software development methodologies dependent on project needs\nWork with peers to mature ways of working, continuous integration, and continuous delivery\nAligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately\nQualifications:\nMinimum of 4 years of related experience\nBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience\nTalents Needed for Success:\nSoftware Development: Hands-on experience in developing applications using Java, JavaScript, Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, and SQL.\nDatabase Expertise: Proficiency in SQL with experience in Snowflake / PostgreSQL is a plus.\nCI/CD & DevOps Tools: Demonstrated experience with Git, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, and Jira.\nDevelopment Environments: Skilled in using IntelliJ IDEA and Eclipse IDEs.\nMiddleware and Platform: Proven capability working with Tomcat application servers. Experience with MQ and Container technologies (OCP, Kubernetes, etc.)\nCloud Technologies: Working knowledge of AWS services including S3, SQS, EC2, KMS, and RDS.\nTesting Frameworks: Strong focus on software testing using JUnit and Mockito.\nFront-End & Scripting: Experience with Angular or other UI frameworks; familiarity with Python and Shell scripting is a plus.\nSDLC Experience: Involved in various phases of the System Development Life Cycle including planning, analysis, design, development, and testing.\nAgile Methodology: Well-versed in Agile development practices.\nAI Tools: Exposure to AI tools Kiro and Apiiro\nActual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
