May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Software Engineering role specializes in planning, documenting technical requirements, designing, developing, and testing all software systems and applications for the firm. Works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and enhancement of existing software systems and applications, proposing and recommending solutions that solve complex business problems.\nYour Primary Responsibilities:\nSnowflake Development\nDevelop and maintain SQL scripts, views, stored procedures, and Snowflake database objects.\nBuild and support data transformation and data processing workflows.\nDevelop reusable components and frameworks to improve development efficiency.\nAssist in query tuning and performance optimization activities.\nData Integration & Processing\nDevelop and support ETL/ELT pipelines for loading and transforming data in Snowflake.\nWork with structured and semi-structured data formats such as JSON, XML, and CSV.\nImplement business rules and data transformation logic based on functional requirements.\nPerform source-to-target data mapping and validation.\nApplication Enhancement & Maintenance\nAnalyze and resolve defects in existing Snowflake solutions.\nSupport production releases, application enhancements, and maintenance activities.\nParticipate in troubleshooting data-related issues and implement fixes.\nEnsure compliance with coding standards and best practices.\nTesting & Quality Assurance\nDevelop and execute unit test cases for new features and enhancements.\nPerform data validation and reconciliation activities.\nSupport integration testing, user acceptance testing, and release validation.\nCollaborate with QA teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.\nProduction Support\nMonitor scheduled jobs and data processing workflows.\nInvestigate and resolve production incidents within agreed SLAs.\nParticipate in root cause analysis and preventive action implementation.\nMaintain technical documentation and operational procedures.\nCollaboration\nWork closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, QA Engineers, and Senior Developers.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.\nContribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.\nQualifications:\nMinimum of 4 years of related experience\nBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience\nTalents Needed for Success:\nTechnical Skills\nGood knowledge of SQL and database concepts.\nUnderstanding of data warehousing principles.\nBasic knowledge of Snowflake architecture and development features.\nFamiliarity with ETL/ELT concepts and data transformation techniques.\nBasic programming knowledge in Python, Java, or similar languages.\nFamiliarity with Git/version control systems.\nPreferred Skills\nExposure to Snowflake Streams, Tasks, Snowpark, or Snowpipe.\nExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.\nKnowledge of Agile development practices.\n Key Competencies\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to learn new technologies quickly.\nStrong communication and teamwork skills.\nAttention to detail and commitment to quality.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nOwnership and accountability for assigned tasks. \nFamiliarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.\nActual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
