This role is responsible for delivering high-quality weather analysis and forecast products to DTN customers through both text, verbal, and graphical content. The ideal candidate brings strong meteorological expertise, thrives in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment, and is passionate about providing accurate, timely, and impactful weather insights.\nWhat You Will Be Responsible For:\nAnalyze and forecast key global weather patterns and atmospheric conditions.\n\nDevelop and deliver detailed text and graphical weather content using DTN tools and datasets.\n\nCollaborate with internal teams to ensure forecast accuracy, consistency, and product quality.\n\nMonitor and resolve issues related to weather graphics creation and distribution.\n\nSupport continuous improvement of forecasting processes and operational workflows.\n\nWhat You Will Bring to the Position:\nYou must reside in or relocate to Minnesota for this role.\n\nBachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or a related field.\n\nStrong synoptic analysis and forecasting skills.\n\nAbility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.\n\nStrong collaboration skills with the ability to work within a team environment.\n\nPositive attitude, high energy, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.\n\nWhat You Can Expect from DTN:\nCompetitive Salary\n\nUnlimited PTO\n\nFlexible working hours\n\nRemote work model (position dependent)\n\nCompetitive Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Plans\n\n6% 401K matching\n\nUnlimited access to 13k+ courses via learning platform to support employee career advancement\n\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)\n\nCompensation:\nThe targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $40,500 and $47,500. DTN is a pay-for-performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
