This role leverages advanced technical expertise and cross-functional collaboration to solve complex cloud engineering challenges. The position plays a key role in shaping cloud practices and driving technical excellence across teams and projects.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nAdvanced knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)\n\nProficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash\n\nFamiliarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps\n\nKnowledge of security best practices in cloud environments (e.g., IAM, encryption, key management)\n\nAbility to analyze complex systems and troubleshoot distributed applications.\n\nStrong problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and continuous improvement.\n\nUnderstanding cost management and optimization strategies in cloud environments.\n\nPerform all other duties and activities as required\n\nAct in accordance with and as a good steward of Duck Creek Technologies mission, vision, and core values:\n\nMission: To empower insurers to reimagine the future of insurance\n\nWHAT YOU’VE DONE\nEducation and Work Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.\n\nMinimum of 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps roles.\n\nPREFERRED:\nMaster’s degree in a related field\n\nProfessional certifications such as Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C02), or Google Cloud Digital Leader\n\nExperience in a SaaS or enterprise software environment.\n\nSkills, Knowledge, Abilities, and Behaviors\nAdvanced knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)\n\nProficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash\n\nKnowledge of security best practices in cloud environments (e.g., IAM, encryption, key management)\n\nExperience with Microsoft Azure components (compute, storage, networking basics, Key Vault, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, Cosmos DB etc.)\n\nExperience with deployment/release tooling - Octopus Deploy or similar\n\nSolid working knowledge with the ability to write and run SQL queries for troubleshooting and data validation (e.g. SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar)\n\nAbility to analyze complex systems and troubleshoot distributed applications.\n\nStrong problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and continuous improvement.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\n\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\n\nDemonstrated ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams\n\nUnderstanding cost management and optimization strategies in cloud environments\n\nCommitment to continuous learning and professional development\n\nOther Requirements:\nThe standard working hours for this role are 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST (UK shift). Candidates will also be required to participate in a rotational US shift schedule (5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST) to support business and operational requirements.
