Learns to set up ovens and heat treat equipment including fixtures, racks, baskets, temperature controllers, and timers. Learns to identify fixture, rack, basket, or other tooling deficiencies, and alerts Value Stream Manager or Supervisor.\nCompletes regular preventive maintenance on equipment assigned. Reads, follows, and updates shop travelers. Learns to create and interpret Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).\nWorks both independently and in a team setting to achieve Value Stream goals. Utilizes basic shop math skills, including addition and subtraction of whole numbers and time intervals. Reads, understands, and follows internal procedures and policies.\nUnderstands and follows through on both verbal and written instructions. Understands and uses the concepts taught relating to Lean Manufacturing Principles and 6-S guidelines. Learns basic principles of metallurgy.\nResponsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area. Must be willing and able to work overtime as necessary.
