No matter where your talents lie, join us and discover how we can advance health together.\nGeneral Description of the Job Class\nServe as a Management Engineer within the DUHS Quality Office, providing dedicated analytics, project management, and performance improvement support to Duke Health’s Coding and Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) teams.\nDuties and Responsibilities of this Level\nOperational and Analytic Support\nLead development, validation, and maintenance of standardized analytics supporting Coding and CDI performance indicators, including documentation query activity, response rates, coding quality trends, CMI/GMLOS variation, DRG shifts, and opportunities for documentation improvement.\nSupport monitoring and interpretation of coding and documentation-related performance against internal goals, external benchmarks, payer requirements, and regulatory guidance.\nDesign and maintain dashboards and reports that help DUHS Quality Office and Coding/CDI leaders identify trends, prioritize work, monitor interventions, and communicate performance to operational and clinical partners.\nTranslate complex coding, CDI, clinical, quality, and financial data into clear, actionable insights for DUHS Quality Office leadership, Coding/CDI leadership, clinical teams, and executive stakeholders.\n\nProject Management & Operational Support\nProvide technical project management support for Coding and CDI initiatives.\nCoordinate cross-functional collaboration across the DUHS Quality Office, Coding, CDI, and clinical operations.\nDevelop and manage project plans, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.\n\nPerformance Improvement\nServe as a technical and analytical lead for multidisciplinary improvement initiatives that address documentation workflows, coding accuracy, query processes, and provider engagement.\nApply performance improvement methodologies to streamline clinical documentation, template utilization, and tool adoption\nMonitor intervention outcomes, evaluate variation in Coding/CDI performance, and recommend data-driven course corrections to improve documentation integrity, coding accuracy, and related clinical and financial outcomes.\n\nRequired Qualifications at this Level\nEducation\nMinimum of a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering or related field. Master's degree desired.\nExperience\nMinimum of 4 years of related experience. Experience can be supplemented with a Master's degree, with a Master's being equivalent to two years of experience.
