Software Engineer II (R-19741)

You will be responsible for designing and developing modern, cutting-edge RESTful APIs. Responsibilities:

• Be an integral member of a cross-functional team in an agile environment
• Develop platform capabilities to meet business requirements
• Determine operational feasibility of proposed solutions
• Validate solutions using proof of concepts and prototypes
• Write simple code (low maintenance, extensibility, testability and performance)
• Collaborate with the team to take advantage of new concepts/technologies
• Make informed decisions quickly and taking ownership of services at scale
• Explore practical uses of AI-assisted engineering tools to improve developer productivity, code quality and delivery efficiency
• Mentoring and supporting junior members of the teams

Your experience and/or qualifications:

• You will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• You will have around 3+ years of experience developing commercial software
• You will have experience working on Web Service APIs using Java and Spring
• You will have experience delivering solutions on GCP or AWS utilizing a broad set of the services available
• You have worked in a collaborative setting
• You will be a problem solver
• You demonstrate humility, empathy and support for your colleagues
• You are curious about emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development, and apply sound engineering judgment when adopting new tools
