The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen; dual citizenship is not permitted, and the candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance. Must be willing to work a HYBRID schedule (1-2 days) in Reston, VA and client locations in the Washington, D.C. area as required.\nKey Responsibilities & Duties:\nImplement user stories and features on a cloud-native AWS stack.\nWrite unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.\nFix defects and support continuous delivery.\nUse AI-assisted development tools across the SDLC and independently validate generated output.\nCollaborate with the team on design and refinement.\nSupport secure coding and accessibility requirements.\nContribute to CI/CD and automation.\nIdentify technical issues and communicate risks or blockers early.\nParticipate in requirements-gathering and story-refinement activities to align technical implementation with business needs.\nCreate and maintain clear technical documentation as appropriate.\nCollaborate with project managers, product owners, architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to meet project goals.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.\n6+ years of software development experience.\nExperience with modern languages/frameworks and version control.\nFamiliarity with cloud-native development on AWS and CI/CD concepts.\nExperience writing unit and integration tests and participating in code reviews.\nExperience troubleshooting defects and supporting continuous delivery.\nUnderstanding of secure coding practices and software quality principles.\nAbility and willingness to use approved AI-assisted development tools while independently reviewing and validating generated output.\nExcellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.\nAbility to prioritize, self-start, and solve problems effectively.\nConsistent on-time attendance and reliability.\nMust be adaptable/flexible as priorities change.\nAvailability during normal business hours and as needed after hours or weekends.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.\nWillingness to collaborate and accept feedback.\nMust be a U.S. Citizen; dual citizenship is not permitted.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAWS exposure or certification.\nFederal IT experience.\nFamiliarity with AI-assisted developer tooling.\nJob Description Acknowledgement\nBy signing below, I acknowledge that I have read and understand the responsibilities and duties for the role that I’m in.
