The successful candidate will be responsible for issuing all PPE equipment and laundry to staff and visitors. Receiving, storing, moving, and issuing all non-meat production materials, including stationary, packaging, etc. within the stores department.\nResponsibilities\nOverseeing and issuing laundry, checking each consignment, reporting any discrepancies, filling in the intake and despatch laundry records and maintaining accurate stock system data.\nMaintaining lockers, issuing keys/padlocks and ensuring they are in acceptable working order. Liaising with HR regarding PPE/locker requirements for new starters and PPE/locker returns for leavers. \nCarrying out accurate daily/weekly and ad-hoc stock counts and ensuring that stock is at optimum levels. Recording this information and reporting back to the Manager. \nAssist with the receiving, storing, moving, and issuing all non-meat production materials, including stationary, packaging, labels, etc. as and when required.\nChecking and signing for delivered items, ensuring zero damage and correct quantities are received.\nActing as a packaging runner ensuring departments have boxes, bags, labels, and consumables in a timely manner without causing any downtime.\nManually moving items from/to high-level loading platform in correct and safe manner to their allocated storage areas.\nManually pulling pallets from/to the storage area using a pallet truck, as well as manually lifting boxes of packaging. \nEnsuring adequate stock is available in readiness for the day’s production.\nLiaising with the Transport team to ensure efficient loading/movement/despatch of all palletised items between storage areas as and when required.\nEnsuring that stringent stock rotation is always adhered to and operating computerised stock system when required.\nDealing with daily queries in a professional and helpful manner, informing Manager of any potential issues, as well as informing other departments of delivered issues all in a timely manner.\nDriving forklift /Bendi to unload deliveries and move stock.\nQualifications\nThe Person:\nExcellent organisational skills with ability to plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines.\nWell-developed interpersonal and communication skills.\nAttention to detail, commitment and the ability to accept responsibility are key in this role.\nStrong IT skills and proficiency with MS Office Applications, in particular Microsoft Excel.\nHolding a valid licence to drive a Forklift Truck, particularly a Bendy, would be advantageous.\nWill be committed to working within the Company Mission, Vision & Values\nNo company sponsorship is available to overseas applicants for this position.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3066,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":true},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Meat & Poultry","Security Compliance"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-14T10:35:27Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Senior or Specialist Worker, Skilled Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Global Business Mobility: Senior or Specialist Worker;
