This individual will coordinate with external auditors, prepare supporting schedules and financial statements, evaluate accounting matters under U.S. GAAP and IFRS, and help ensure that the firm’s accounting records are complete, accurate, and audit ready. The ideal candidate will have strong audit and technical-accounting experience, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to understand complex trading activity and multi-entity financial statements. Experience with broker-dealers or other regulated financial institutions is strongly preferred.\nKey Responsibilities:\nManage annual financial-statement audits for the firm’s U.S. and international entities.\nServe as a primary point of contact for external auditors and coordinate audit requests across internal teams.\nDevelop and manage audit timelines, deliverables, open-item lists, and completion deadlines.\nPrepare complete financial statements, including footnotes and supporting disclosures, under U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and applicable local reporting requirements.\nPrepare and review audit schedules, account reconciliations, roll-forwards, lead sheets, and supporting documentation.\nReview trial balances and accounting records to identify errors, unusual balances, or required adjustments before the audit begins.\nResearch and document complex accounting matters under U.S. GAAP and IFRS.\nPrepare technical accounting memoranda and support the firm’s accounting conclusions.\nCoordinate audit support across Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Trading teams.\nReview consolidations, intercompany balances, related-party transactions, foreign-currency activity, and multi-entity reporting.\nAssist with accounting for trading positions, derivatives, investments, revenue, expenses, and financial instruments.\nMaintain audit-ready documentation and strengthen financial-reporting controls.\nTrack proposed audit adjustments and ensure that approved entries are accurately recorded.\nImprove and standardize audit and financial-reporting processes across the firm’s entities.\nSupport regulatory examinations and other financial or accounting reviews, as needed.\n\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.\n3-5 years of relevant audit, accounting, or financial-reporting experience.\nStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS.\nDemonstrated experience preparing or reviewing audited financial statements and footnote disclosures.\nStrong understanding of accounting principles, financial-statement presentation, and account reconciliations.\nAdvanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, large-data reconciliation, and financial-statement support schedules.\nStrong project-management skills and experience coordinating multiple audits or reporting deadlines.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nExceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify accounting or reporting issues independently.\nCPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred.\nPublic-accounting experience, particularly with financial-services clients preferred.\nExperience with proprietary trading firms, broker-dealers, hedge funds, investment managers, or other financial institutions preferred.\nKnowledge of broker-dealer accounting, regulatory reporting, and SEC financial-responsibility requirements preferred.\nFamiliarity with trading products such as equities, options, futures, fixed income, swaps, and other derivatives preferred.\nExperience coordinating audits across the United States, United Kingdom, and Asia-Pacific regions preferred.\nExperience with consolidations, intercompany accounting, foreign currencies, and multi-jurisdictional financial reporting preferred.\nBenefits:\nDiscretionary bonus eligibility\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance\nHSA, FSA, and Dependent Care Options\nEmployer Paid Group Term Life and AD&D insurance\nVoluntary LTD, Life & AD&D insurance\nFlexible Vacation policy\nRetirement plan with employer match\nDVis not accepting unsolicited resumes from search firms.
