This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing Dvorak's accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting across the company. You'll lead and develop a small team (a Payroll Specialist and an A/R Specialist), establish strong internal controls, and serve as a strategic partner to leadership - providing the financial insight and analysis that supports smart, long-term business decisions.\nTitle and level are flexible depending on background and experience.\nWhat We're Looking For\nLead, mentor, and develop accounting and payroll staff; set clear expectations and accountability standards\nOversee general ledger reviews, monthly reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close\nManage AR processes including progress billings, retainage, lien waivers, and job cost accounting\nOversee AP operations, invoice coding, vendor relationships, and weekly check runs\nAudit payroll for accuracy and compliance, including certified payroll and prevailing wage requirements\nLead annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting; analyze trends and variances for leadership\nSupport audits, bonding, and compliance documentation \nCertifications & Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field\n5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in construction or contracting\nStrong knowledge of job cost accounting and construction billing practices\nExperience leading or mentoring accounting staff\nVista experience strongly preferred; advanced Excel and financial reporting skills\nHigh attention to detail, strong judgement, and excellent communication skills - this role partners closely with operations, project managers, and leadership\nWhy You'll Love Working Here\nHybrid work schedule\nOpportunities for growth within a premier heavy electrical contractor\nSupportive, family-oriented team environment\nCompetitive compensation and benefits\nJob Type: Full-time\nPay Range: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year (based upon experience) + bonus opportunity \nWork Location: Dundalk Office / Hybrid\nBenefits:\n401(k)\n401(k) matching\nHealth insurance\nDental insurance\nVision insurance\nLife insurance\nPaid time off\nDvorak, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
