Our teams combine deep technical expertise with a strong consulting mindset to create measurable business value.\nWe are looking for an experienced Microsoft Fabric Cloud Platform Engineer to help clients establish, automate, and operationalise Microsoft Fabric environments using cloud engineering best practices.\nThis role is ideal for a cloud platform engineer who enjoys building secure, scalable foundations for data and analytics teams. You will work closely with cloud, security, architecture, and data engineering teams to design and implement Microsoft Fabric platforms that are reliable, governed, and ready for enterprise adoption.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign and implement Microsoft Fabric platform foundations, including capacities, workspaces, OneLake, environment structures, and platform configuration.\n\nEstablish and manage DEV, TEST, and PROD environments and deployment strategies.\n\nImplement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and other automation technologies.\n\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub.\n\nImplement security, identity, and access controls using Microsoft Entra ID and RBAC.\n\nIntegrate Microsoft Fabric with Azure services and broader cloud platforms.\n\nDevelop reusable automation and deployment patterns to ensure consistency and scalability.\n\nSupport monitoring, logging, operational readiness, and platform governance.\n\nCollaborate with Data Engineering teams to enable workloads and remove platform barriers.\n\nProduce technical documentation, standards, and operational runbooks.\n\nProvide technical leadership and guidance on Fabric platform architecture and engineering practices.\n\nEssential Experience & Qualifications Required\n5+ years of Azure Cloud Engineering experience.\n\nDegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.\n\nAzure certifications would be advantageous.\n\nTerraform, DevOps, or cloud platform certifications are beneficial.\n\nHands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and its core platform components.\n\nExperience implementing Fabric capacities, workspaces, and OneLake.\n\nStrong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.\n\nExperience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub CI/CD pipelines.\n\nExperience implementing Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, and cloud security controls.\n\nExperience designing and managing Fabric environments across DEV, TEST, and PROD.\n\nStrong understanding of cloud networking, security, governance, and operational best practices.\n\nExperience automating cloud platforms using PowerShell and/or Python.\n\nExperience working within enterprise cloud environments.\n\nGood understanding of data platform concepts and how data workloads consume cloud infrastructure.\n\nAdvantageous Experience\nExperience establishing a Microsoft Fabric platform from the ground up.\n\nExperience with Fabric REST APIs and platform automation.\n\nExperience integrating Fabric with Azure services.\n\nUnderstanding of data ingestion workloads and notebook-based solutions within Fabric.\n\nExperience working in regulated or governed cloud environments.\n\nExposure to FinOps and cloud cost optimisation practices.\n\nExperience collaborating across Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering, Security, and Architecture teams.\n\nImportant to Know\nThis is a Cloud Platform Engineering role, not a Data Engineering role.
