FTTF is replacing the client's locally implemented lottery systems with a single group ecosystem that all of its lotteries will use.\nYou will support the client's CRM and data teams with cloud work. The CRM platform is Salesforce, which FTTF is currently implementing. You will build integrations between Salesforce and the existing systems running in AWS, move the GitLab CI/CD setup to the group's trunk-based standard, and set up observability across AWS and Salesforce. You will also do some Google Cloud work to support the data teams' use of Google Analytics and BigQuery.\nThis is a client-facing consulting role. You will propose solution architecture, then build, test and implement it. You will also explain and justify your designs to cloud engineers and to CRM and business stakeholders. You will work with both the client's existing cloud organisation and its CRM organisation.\nThe ideal candidate is a motivated, self-driven senior engineer with strong experience in AWS integrations, CI/CD and observability. They can shape a solution on their own initiative and communicate it clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.\nRequirements\nJob requirements\nRole Summary\nThis is a senior, hands-on AWS consulting role with three focus areas. First, integrations between Salesforce and AWS: synchronous APIs, events on Amazon EventBridge and file-based batch flows through Amazon S3. Second, GitLab CI/CD: moving from GitFlow to trunk-based deployment and propagation, with better Snyk security scanning. Third, observability across AWS and Salesforce: tracing, dashboards and alerting, mainly in Amazon CloudWatch. The role also covers basic Google Cloud setup for the data teams.\nThe Environment\nA group-wide programme (FTTF) that is replacing locally implemented lottery systems with one ecosystem shared by all the group's lotteries\n\nSalesforce as the CRM platform, currently being implemented as part of FTTF\n\nAWS as the main cloud provider, where the existing systems run\n\nIntegration through synchronous APIs, event-driven flows on Amazon EventBridge and file-based batch flows on Amazon S3\n\nGitLab CI/CD, currently on a GitFlow workflow and moving to the group-standard trunk-based deployment and propagation pattern, with Snyk for repository security scanning\n\nObservability built mainly on Amazon CloudWatch, possibly with external tooling\n\nGoogle Cloud (Google Analytics and BigQuery) used by the data teams\n\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nSalesforce ↔ AWS Integration\nDesign and build integrations between Salesforce and existing AWS-hosted systems using synchronous APIs, Amazon EventBridge events and file-based batch flows on Amazon S3\n\nUse AWS services to build features that Salesforce does not offer today\n\nMake integrations secure, reliable and supportable, including error handling, retries and replay\n\nCI/CD & DevSecOps\nImprove the current GitLab CI/CD setup and move it from GitFlow to the group-standard trunk-based deployment and propagation pattern\n\nImprove security scanning of repositories with Snyk\n\nObservability\nSet up and improve observability across AWS and Salesforce, covering tracing, dashboards and alerting\n\nBuild on Amazon CloudWatch, and assess external tooling where it adds value\n\nGoogle Cloud for Data Teams\nSet up GCP accounts, permissions and basic infrastructure for the data teams' use of Google Analytics and BigQuery\n\nSolution Architecture & Stakeholder Engagement\nPropose solution architecture, then build, test and implement the solutions\n\nExplain and justify designs to cloud engineers and to CRM and business stakeholders\n\nWork with both the client's existing cloud organisation and its CRM organisation\n\nRequired Experience and Skills\nMust-have\n5+ years' hands-on AWS cloud / DevOps engineering experience at a senior level\n\nProven experience building integrations on AWS with APIs (e.g. API Gateway, Lambda), Amazon EventBridge and file-based batch flows on S3\n\nStrong GitLab CI/CD experience, including trunk-based development and deployment / promotion patterns\n\nHands-on observability experience: tracing, dashboards and alerting with Amazon CloudWatch\n\nAble to propose solution architecture and explain and justify it to engineers and business stakeholders\n\nMotivated and self-driven, with strong communication skills\n\nAdvantageous\nGoogle Cloud experience (projects, IAM, basic infrastructure, BigQuery).
