Our mission is to provide the highest calibre of service to meet the needs of our clients, and we are only as good as the people on our team. \n\nThe Senior Project Manager, Engineering, will lead complex engineering projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and technical requirements. This role demands a comprehensive oversight of project scope, schedule, budget, and quality, while managing cross-functional teams and stakeholder communications effectively. \n\nThe successful candidate will drive project execution by coordinating resources, mitigating risks, and resolving issues to deliver engineering solutions that meet or exceed expectations. They will also play a critical role in fostering innovation, continuous improvement, and adherence to industry standards and regulatory compliance. Ultimately, this position is pivotal in delivering high-impact engineering projects that contribute to the organization's growth and operational excellence across British Columbia.\n\nThis position is based out of our Prince George office and is open to remote or hybrid work arrangements. \n\nWhat We Offer:\n\nTailored career growth opportunities within a team environment that recognizes talent\n\nA competitive wage, comprehensive benefits package along with a bonus program and GRSP matching.\n\nA diverse range of work with a multitude of clients\n\nA rewarding, professional and safety-first work environment\n\nFlexible work arrangements ensuring work life integration.\n\nJob Responsibilities:\n\nThe immediate responsibilities of a Senior Project Manager, Engineering will include, but are not limited to:\n\nPlanning, designing, and delivery of civil/structural engineering projects including calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports for roadways, bridges, and other Civil infrastructure projects.\n\nDeveloping detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budget management for engineering projects.\n\nLeading and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across departments.\n\nMonitoring project progress, identifying potential risks or issues, and implementing effective mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.\n\nEngaging with internal and external stakeholders to manage expectations, provide regular status updates, and facilitating decision-making.\n\nEnsuring compliance with relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nDriving continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing project outcomes and incorporating lessons learned into future projects.\n\nCommunicating effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to gather information, providing project updates, and addressing technical inquiries.\n\nPreparing comprehensive project documentation, including reports, presentations, and technical specifications.\n\nQualifications:\n\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, or related technical discipline.\n\nProfessional Engineer, registered with or eligible to register with EGBC.\n\nMinimum of 7 years of project management experience in engineering or a closely related field.\n\nExperience in the design of resource roads, bridges, and other civil/structural works.\n\nExcellent working knowledge of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code.\n\nRelevant experience in the BC resource sector; including forestry, mining and oil & gas.\n\nFamiliarity with Canadian engineering codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.\n\nValid Class 5 Drivers license is required.\n\nLegally authorized to work in Canada.\n\nCompensation:\nThe hourly range is between $52 - $74 and will be commensurate with experience.\n\nHow to Apply?\nIf you are interested in working with us, please forward your resume with cover letter to : Apply Here\n\nApplications will be accepted until the position is filled.
