As Principal Engineer, you will set the technical vision and architectural direction for our strategic data platforms, shaping decisions that influence multiple teams and critical business capabilities. You’ll lead through technical authority, define engineering standards, mentor senior engineers, and contribute directly to architecture and key implementation decisions.\nWe are looking for a Principal Engineer - Data Platforms (m/f/d)\nResponsibilities\nDefine the long-term technical vision and roadmap for the data platform in partnership with the Head of Technology and architecture leadership\n\nOwn the end-to-end architecture and key technical decisions across the platform and its supporting systems, from ingestion through distribution\n\nSet and evolve engineering standards for platform infrastructure, data modeling, testing, observability, and lineage\n\nMentor senior and staff engineers through design leadership, code reviews, and hands-on technical guidance\n\nCollaborate with architects, security engineers, control functions, the Chief Data Office, and other stakeholders to improve compliance, security posture, and reliability\n\nWork with product ownersand internal customersto translate product vision and demand into platform capabilities\n\nRequirements\n12+ years in platform engineering, ideally on enterprise data platforms; a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or similar is a plus\n\nDeepexpertisein modern data platforms, preferably Snowflake and its ecosystemas well as complex data modernization projects\n\nProven ability to lead technical decisions across complex enterprises and influence without formal authority\n\nExtensive experience running production data platforms and cloud infrastructure at enterprise scale\n\nStrong understanding of data governance and IT compliance in regulated environments\n\nExcellenttrack recordof leading, mentoring and transforming engineering teams\n\nStrong programming skills\n\nStrong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and attention to detail\n\nFluent English, written and spoken\n\nPosting period: 19.3.2026 until further notice\nThe successful candidate will be hired under the Functional Role Title \"Senior Technology Specialist\" (m/f/d).\nWhat we’ll offer you:\nWithout the ambitions of our people, our achievements wouldn’t be possible.
