We closely work together with Domain Architects, Security SMEs, Data SMEs and Delivery Teams to assure overall strategic and policy adherence of any solution we deliver into the organization. As such the team supports working closely with delivery teams to derive any functional and non-functional requirements and define the overall solution. This includes working with data architects to derive the best data strategy (ingest, transform, consume) as well as building services and applications on top. Solution architects also contribute to the strategic patterns, opinionated decision trees and do research and development with new technologies to help continuously improve the overall architecture and landscape of the organization.\nYour responsibilities\nAs a Solution Architect you will:\nBreak down functional and non-functional requirements into individual building blocks, components, ingest pipelines, services and front ends and work closely with data architects to provide an efficient model for managing and consuming data.\nWork with and coach / help engineers to implement the suggested designs.\nCollaborate with Domain Architects and fellow Solution and Data architect to work out strategic architecture decision records, patterns, or even code to common, recurring problems or to support delivery of individual strategies\nOwn and drive the overall solution design and help delivery teams to defend these designs before individual design authorities\nAssess and R&D new technologies and derive usage patterns for the broader organization to adopt and keeping the technology estate up to date and keep improving the overall architecture in DWS.\nWe are looking for :\nDegree in Computer Science or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Java / DotNet engineering, and architecture\nPrior experience in working in the financial industry or specifically in Asset Management is a big plus\nVery good understanding of the Java eco systems, specifically J2EE, Sprint Boot and building services using the latest JDKs.\nGood understanding of DotNet, Typescript and Python a plus\nAbstract thinking and the ability to break down complex problems into smaller, digestible, implementable pieces.\nExperience in TOGAF of SAFe are a plus.\nStrategic thinking and planning, laying out common solutions for recurring problems (patterns. opinionated decision trees, design decisions)\nKeen to work with new technologies to derive opportunities for enhancing the overall architecture\nGood understanding and experience in deploying workloads to the cloud, preferably GCP \nProven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.\nExperience in designing and building or integrating with ABAC or RBAC controls or systems (IAM)\nWhat we’ll offer you:\nAt DWS we’re serious about diversity, equity and creating an inclusive culture where colleagues can be themselves and it’s important to us that you enjoy coming to work - feeling healthy, happy and rewarded.
