This role will serve as a technical resource supporting Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Continuous Improvement teams in the development, implementation and optimization of manufacturing processes and automation systems.\nThe ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience in electromechanical assembly manufacturing combined with knowledge of automation technologies, controls integration and capital project execution. This position will play a key role in driving productivity improvements, labor efficiency, quality enhancement and process standardization.\nResponsibilities include:\nIdentify, evaluate and implement automation opportunities that improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity and labor efficiency. \nDevelop scalable manufacturing processes and assembly methods for electromechanical products and configured solutions. \nPartner with Operations and Lean/CI teams to improve manufacturing flow, reduce waste, optimize labor utilization and improve throughput. \nSupport plant operations with troubleshooting and resolution of critical manufacturing process, automation or controls-related issues as needed. \nFunctional ownership of item routings, work Instructions and process flow documentation. \nReview drawings, blueprints, sketches, manuals, or sample parts to determine appropriate manufacturing process. Create drawings in SolidWorks or similar. \nCreate/Update information for creation of BOMs/Routings in ERP. \nBenchmark industry best practices and introduce new manufacturing technologies, automation strategies and assembly techniques. \nSupport capital project business cases including ROI analysis, equipment justification, labor savings and implementation timelines. \nSupport equipment sourcing activities including supplier selection, design reviews, installation and startup.\nCoordinate and manage external system integrators, machine builders and automation suppliers.\nEstablish standardized manufacturing and automation practices across multiple facilities.\nCreate and maintain project timing plans, track deliverables, identify risks and drive recovery actions where required.\nSupport Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly initiatives with Engineering teams during new product introduction.\nDevelop and maintain manufacturing documentation including process flows, work instructions, PFMEA inputs and standard work. \nSupport manufacturing layout optimization, capacity planning and equipment utilization initiatives.\nParticipate in root cause investigations and corrective actions related to manufacturing quality or process issues.\nDrive cross-functional alignment and collaboration between Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Continuous Improvement teams.\nRequirements\nRequired:\n0 to 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, advanced manufacturing or industrial automation within a manufacturing environment. \nBachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related technical discipline. \nHands-on experience with electromechanical assembly processes and automation systems.\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CAD software such as SolidWorks or equivalent.\nStrong communication, leadership and influencing skills with ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments\nPreferred\nExperience with assembly automation, robotics, controls integration, machine design and manufacturing process optimization. \nStrong project management and organizational leadership skills\nKnowledge of industrial controls, pneumatics, sensors, conveyors, machine safety and vision systems. \nExperience with business cases, ROI development, cost modeling and capital planning processes. \nExperience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies including Kaizen, 5 Why, 5S and root cause problem solving. \nExperience working with equipment suppliers, automation integrators and contract machine builders. \nExperience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, C/C++ or similar \nSalary Description\n$70,000 -
