Other duties may be assigned.\nWorks with Value Stream team to identify and apply continuous improvement methods to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness\nDesigns, develops, tests or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.\nSupports senior engineers in research, design and development of manufacturing processes including welding schedules, production flow, assembly methods, production equipment and machining.\nProject management of identified capital equipment projects\nApplies failure analysis to determine root causes of problems and failures and develops solutions or recommends changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.\nEvaluates equipment requirements, performs cost analyses, and proposals for integrating machinery and equipment into manufacturing process.\nCoordinates all pre-production activities including sample evaluation, design qualification and prototype production.\nProvides documentation and detailed drawings for manufacturing and assembly of materials, assemblies, and finished products.\nPrepares documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures. \nProficient with design software to perform engineering and design tasks.\nContributes to the development and implementation of best practice Lean vision, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.\nAssist technicians and/or maintenance with troubleshooting, building and/or assembly of various machines and equipment as necessary.\nRequirements\nEducation and/or Experience:\nBachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in Engineering or related field\nMinimum 3 years relevant manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience\nExperience with and knowledge of solid modeling, SolidWorks or AutoCAD engineering design software, and engineering materials and their properties.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nActive Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.\nCommunication Skills - The ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally with all levels of supervision on the status of jobs.\nComplex Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.\nDeductive Reasoning - The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.\nEngineering and Technology - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
