Other duties may be assigned.\nWorks with Value Stream team to identify and apply continuous improvement methods to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness\nDesigns, develops, tests or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.\nSupports senior engineers in research, design and development of manufacturing processes including welding schedules, production flow, assembly methods, production equipment and machining.\nProject management of identified capital equipment projects\nApplies failure analysis to determine root causes of problems and failures and develops solutions or recommends changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.\nEvaluates equipment requirements, performs cost analyses, and proposals for integrating machinery and equipment into manufacturing process.\nCoordinates all pre-production activities including sample evaluation, design qualification and prototype production.\nProvides documentation and detailed drawings for manufacturing and assembly of materials, assemblies, and finished products.\nPrepares documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures. \nProficient with design software to perform engineering and design tasks.\nContributes to the development and implementation of best practice Lean vision, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.\nAssist technicians and/or maintenance with troubleshooting, building and/or assembly of various machines and equipment as necessary.\nRequirements\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:\nExperience with and knowledge of solid modeling, SolidWorks or AutoCAD engineering design software, and engineering materials and their properties.\nActive Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.\nCommunication Skills - The ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally with all levels of supervision on the status of jobs.\nComplex Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.\nDeductive Reasoning - The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.\nEngineering and Technology - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.\nInformation Ordering - The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).\nJudgment and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.\nMechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.\nProblem Sensitivity - The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.\nProduction and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.\nSystems Analysis - Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.\nTroubleshooting - Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it\nEducation and/or Experience:\nBachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in Engineering or related field\nMinimum 3 years relevant manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nWe believe in transparent and equitable pay.
