Engineering teams in the development of new processes and test equipment.\nPractice the use of quality tools where applicable: 8D problem solving, Six Sigma, FMEA, control plans and SPC.\nAssist in the day-to-day activities and training of Quality Inspectors and quality subject matter.\nPerform other Quality related duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by the quality manager.\nOccasional travel to other manufacturing facilities as required to support investigations or participate in training activities.\nKey Performance Indicators (KPI’s):\nSafety\nWarranty RMA - Customer Quality and days to close\nProduct DPPM - Escape tracking \nWarranty DMR - Supplier Quality and SCAR\nScrap $$ and %\nInternal Reject % \nFirst Pass Yield (FPY) % \nRequirements\nRequired Skills / Experience / Competencies:\nBachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent ASQ or other quality certifications or equivalent experience\n2+ years of Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering experience preferred, and/or 7+ years of related quality experience in a manufacturing environment\nKnowledge/use of quality tools such as: 8D problem solving, Control Plans, and SPC preferred\nTechnical aptitude in electronics and mechanical assembly preferred\nExperience with machining processes (CNC Mill & Lathe), GD&T, and blueprint reading\nProficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\nExcellent communication skills, both written and oral, at all levels of an organization\nPhysical/Mental Essential Functions:\nAbility to input data into computers and departmental systems\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents and manuals\nAbility to interact / communicate effectively with customers, employees, and external personnel\nEffectively communicate in English orally and in writing.\nAbility to identify, communicate, and help prevent potential problems\nAbility to solve practical problems within established parameters\nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form\nAbility to deal with time sensitive situations on an ongoing basis\nAbility to follow a set of procedures or set sequences\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment\nMust be efficient with strong attention to detail\nAbility to negotiate, motivate, redirect or convince others\nAbility to use keyboard, sporadic 10 key\nAbility to use mouse (or alternative input device)\nWork Conditions:\nWork in an office environment and routinely on the Manufacturing Plant production lines. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Some areas are narrow and difficult to maneuver.
