Our team of engineering experts help our customers select technical, and often configured, product solutions for their unique applications.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs a Software Engineering Intern at our Westerville, OH, location, you will have the opportunity to work directly with the engineers and scientists who are developing the next generation of Lake Shore Cryotronics software for our state-of-the-art instruments, systems, or manufacturing software (please visit www.lakeshore.com to view our Instrument products).\nEssential Job Functions\nApply modern software concepts and patterns to translate software requirements into design.\nUse various software development languages, technologies, and tools to build software.\nWrite performant, readable, modular, and testable code using advanced software engineering techniques.\nRequirements\nWorking toward an undergraduate bachelor's degree in Software Engineering (CSE), Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), or a related field.\nMinimum GPA of 3.0.\nStrong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nExperience with Python is a plus.\nApplication vs. Embedded Position Requirements\nThe following requirements are dependent on the specific software group you are assigned to.\nApplication Software Development: C# experience required; Microsoft SQL Server, Vue.js, Node.js, and JavaScript preferred.\nEmbedded Software Development: Embedded C++ experience required.\nWork Environment\nThis position operates in a professional office environment.
