We’re looking for an Account Business Manager to join our team at DXC.

As the Account Business Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in the commercial and operational management of a client account, partnering closely with the Client Partner, Client Success Manager and wider account leadership team.

You’ll act as the commercial and operational link across multiple contracts within a client portfolio, connecting Finance, Sales, Delivery, PMO and other key functions to drive effective governance, provide visibility of account performance and strengthen financial and commercial outcomes.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll manage competing priorities, coordinate stakeholders, resolve issues and follow through on actions to ensure contractual commitments are met and the account operates effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Governance and Account Operations

  • Coordinate account governance, reporting, reviews and performance tracking across multiple contracts.
  • Monitor key deliverables, milestones, contractual obligations, risks and issues, ensuring actions are followed through to resolution.
  • Drive continuous improvement in account processes, controls and operational effectiveness.

Client and Stakeholder Management

  • Build effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Delivery, PMO and other support functions.
  • Act as a key point of contact for account operational and commercial matters, resolving issues and escalating where required.
  • Manage competing priorities and stakeholder expectations to support positive client outcomes.

Financial and Commercial Management

  • Support account financial performance, including revenue and cost forecasting, budgets, cash flow, invoicing, collections and margin management.
  • Work with Finance and Delivery to maintain accurate forecasts, track performance and identify financial risks or opportunities.
  • Coordinate pricing reviews, contract renewals, variations and change control, ensuring commercial changes are accurately reflected in contracts and invoices.
  • Help resolve invoicing discrepancies and other commercial issues with clients and internal teams.

Strategy, Planning and Performance

  • Support account planning, budgeting and performance reviews, providing clear insights into financial and operational results.
  • Track account KPIs and identify opportunities to improve performance, manage risk and strengthen commercial outcomes.
  • Work with account leadership to translate priorities into practical actions and support delivery against account objectives.

Growth, Sales and Deal Support

  • Support sales pursuits, renewals, proposals and opportunity management in partnership with the Client Partner and Sales teams.
  • Coordinate the transition of signed deals into delivery, including resource planning, work breakdown structures and time-booking arrangements.
  • Maintain visibility of pipeline activity and support effective coordination between Sales and Delivery.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A university qualification in Business, IT, Finance or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least five years’ experience in account management, commercial management, contract management, PMO, finance or business operations, ideally within complex IT services or managed services environments.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including an understanding of P&L, revenue and cost forecasting, cash flow, invoicing and margin management.
  • Experience working with contracts, including interpreting contractual obligations and coordinating pricing changes, renewals, variations or change control.
  • Strong governance, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and drive actions through to completion.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work across functions and engage with clients on operational and commercial matters.
  • Experience supporting sales pursuits, opportunity management or the transition of new work into delivery will be advantageous.
  • The ability to build relationships, navigate complex stakeholder environments and maintain momentum in a fast-paced environment.

We welcome candidates from backgrounds such as PMO, contract management, commercial operations, finance or business operations who bring strong commercial judgement, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

Security Clearance: Minimum Baseline clearance required with ability to obtain NV1 Security clearance.
