Our core business services involve performing checks on\ninsurance documents, processing premium transactions and processing claims\ntransactions.\nIndividual will reside in the UK and have Right to Work in the UK.\nJob Overview\nVelonetic is looking for an experienced Sanctions Compliance Officer to join our Ethics and Compliance function. You will act as a senior sanctions subject matter expert, providing practical advice on complex sanctions matters across our London Market operations.\nWhat you will be doing\nProvide expert advice on OFSI, OFAC, EU and UN sanctions.\nAssess complex claims and premium-processing referrals.\nMonitor regulatory developments and recommend updates to controls and procedures.\nSupport sanctions risk assessments, training and compliance improvement projects.\nAdvise strategic business initiatives and contribute to sanctions governance forums.\nManage relationships with customers, external legal counsel, regulators and industry groups.\nWe’re looking for people who have\nStrong proven experience of trade and financial sanctions regulations.\nExperience in compliance or legal, ideally within a second-line function.\nStrong knowledge of the Lloyd’s and London company insurance markets.\nExperience applying sanctions regulations within an insurance environment.\nExcellent analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.\nThe ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and explain complex issues clearly.\nThis is an excellent opportunity to take a leading role within an established sanctions compliance programme and help shape how sanctions risk is managed across a significant London Market operation.\nInvestment In Training and Development\nWe offer a comprehensive range of training and career development\nopportunities, a structured induction programme, tailored job training as well as mentoring and support for relevant sponsored professional qualifications.
