You’ll directly contribute to how the world's leading insurers operate by helping transform and maintain the technology environments that support critical business operations.\nPosition Summary\nWe are seeking an experienced AWS Infrastructure Administrator to manage, maintain, secure, and optimize enterprise AWS infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and operational support of AWS environments, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and reliability.\nThis role is highly operations-focused and requires hands-on experience managing AWS infrastructure, monitoring cloud environments, troubleshooting production issues, implementing security and access controls, performing maintenance activities, and supporting automation and Infrastructure as Code initiatives. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and comfortable working in a production environment while collaborating with infrastructure, engineering, security, and application teams.\nKey Responsibilities\nAdminister and maintain enterprise AWS infrastructure, ensuring availability, performance, reliability, and operational stability.\nProvision, configure, manage, and troubleshoot AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, FSx, EBS, IAM, Route 53, CloudWatch, and Systems Manager.\nMonitor AWS environments, respond to alerts, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root cause analysis and remediation.\nManage AWS identity and access controls, including IAM users, roles, policies, security groups, and permissions.\nAdminister AWS networking components including VPCs, subnets, route tables, NAT Gateways, VPNs, Direct Connect, and Elastic Load Balancing.\nSupport AWS Organizations and enterprise multi-account environments.\nPerform operating system and infrastructure patching, configuration management, maintenance, and lifecycle activities.\nSupport backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities for AWS workloads.\nAssist with Infrastructure as Code deployments and environment management using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.\nDevelop and maintain operational automation using PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python.\nMonitor infrastructure health, capacity, utilization, and performance, and identify opportunities for optimization.\nSupport AWS cost optimization and resource utilization initiatives.\nImplement and maintain AWS security and operational best practices in accordance with enterprise policies and standards.\nMaintain accurate infrastructure documentation, configuration records, procedures, and operational runbooks.\nCollaborate with engineering, security, network, application, and infrastructure teams to support application deployments and ongoing operations.\nParticipate in production incident management, problem management, and change management processes.\nParticipate in on-call support and provide timely response to critical infrastructure incidents as required.\nBasic Qualifications\nHigh school diploma (required). \nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (preferred). \n4+ years of IT infrastructure experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on AWS administration experience.\nStrong infrastructure operations and production support background.\nHands-on experience administering AWS core services, including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, Route 53, EBS, and VPC.\nStrong understanding of AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, NACLs, VPNs, Direct Connect, and load balancers.\nExperience supporting AWS Organizations and multi-account enterprise environments.\nWorking knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.\nExperience with AWS monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.\nKnowledge of AWS security, identity and access management, and cloud governance best practices.\nExperience supporting production environments and resolving infrastructure incidents.\nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively with geographically distributed technical teams.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate certification.\nAWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional.\nExperience with automation and scripting using PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.\nExperience with enterprise monitoring, logging, and observability tools.\nExperience with AWS cost management, resource optimization, and FinOps practices.\nKnowledge of Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nExperience supporting large-scale, highly available AWS production environments.\nExperience with ITIL-based incident, problem, change, and service management processes.\nWork Environment\nCandidates may be located anywhere within the United States, with a preference for candidates located in the Western U.S.\nParticipation in on-call support and occasional after-hours maintenance or incident response may be required.\nCompensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $66,700 - $123,900.Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
