Learn more on dxc.com.\nRole Summary\nThis 6-month internship provides hands-on exposure to cybersecurity operations across Security Operations (SOC), infrastructure security, identity management, and GRC. You will work on real operational tasks with mentor guidance, following a structured plan with clear deliverables and measurable outcomes.\nKey Responsibilities & Work Environment\nTriage security alerts under supervision, validate findings, and determine closure or escalation.\nGather, analyze, and document evidence from logs, endpoints, and network sources with clear case notes.\nFollow established runbooks consistently and propose practical improvements to strengthen processes.\nSupport infrastructure security activities, including system hardening, vulnerability tracking, and remediation verification.\nIdentify monitoring gaps and contribute to detection improvement ideas with consideration of false positives.\nApply identity and access management principles, including least privilege and role-based access.\nSupport access reviews and prepare audit-ready evidence on user access and approvals.\nAssist in maintaining privileged access controls and ensuring proper documentation.\nContribute to GRC activities, including control-to-evidence mapping, basic risk documentation, and audit traceability.\nProduce weekly deliverables such as triage write-ups, runbook improvements, verification reports, and access review documentation.\nMaintain a structured repository of notes, templates, and finalized artifacts.\nDeliver a final capstone project that provides practical value to the team (e.g., detection improvement or runbook enhancement).\nWork in a live operational environment with supervision, defined escalation paths, and possible SOC shift exposure.\nAdhere strictly to confidentiality, approved tools, and data handling requirements.\nRequirements & Preferred Profile\nCurrently enrolled in a degree/diploma in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.\nBasic understanding of networking (IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows or Linux).\nStrong written communication and ability to produce clear, structured documentation.\nAbility to follow processes consistently and apply feedback.\nExposure to security concepts such as monitoring, vulnerability management, identity controls, or basic scripting is advantageous.\nInterest in operational work requiring accuracy, consistency, and evidence-based thinking.\nEligibility:\nIntake: November 2026 onwards \nInternship Duration: Minimum 4 to maximum 6 months\nEligibility: Malaysian citizens only, final-year students\nWork arrangement: Hybrid (1-2 days on site), 8.30 am to 5.30 pm\nWork location: DXC office,10A, Jalan Bersatu 13/4, PJS 13, 46200 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia\nAt DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
