Through structured training and real-world project experience, trainees gain industry-relevant competencies that support their transition into full-time employment.\nAbout the Role\nThe Data & AI Solutions Trainee will support DXC Technology's Data & AI team in delivering data-driven solutions for enterprise clients. This traineeship provides hands-on exposure to real-world data engineering, analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning projects within a global IT services environment.\nThe trainee will work alongside experienced Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Solution Architects, and Consultants to develop foundational skills in data management, AI technologies, and enterprise-grade digital solutions.\nThis role is ideal for motivated graduates who are passionate about data, analytics, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies and are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a professional environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssist in data collection, cleansing, transformation, and preprocessing activities for analytics and AI/ML projects.\nSupport the development and testing of data pipelines and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.\nBuild and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations for internal and client-facing projects.\nParticipate in machine learning model development, testing, and evaluation under supervision.\nConduct research on emerging AI, machine learning, and data engineering technologies and best practices.\nDocument technical processes, workflows, methodologies, and project findings.\nPerform data validation and quality assurance activities.\nSupport solution teams in preparing presentations, demonstrations, and technical documentation.\nParticipate in agile ceremonies, sprint reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.\nPerform database queries, data extraction, and basic analysis tasks as assigned.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams on innovation and AI-driven initiatives.\nTechnical Skills & Competencies\nApplicants should possess basic to intermediate knowledge in at least two (2) of the following areas:\nDemonstrate proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, React, or Node.js.\nUtilize AI-assisted development and productivity tools such as Cursor, Replit, Claude Code, or similar platforms.\nPerform database querying, management, and basic administration using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.\nApply AI and automation frameworks such as n8n, LangChain, or other AI orchestration tools.\nUnderstand cloud computing fundamentals and be familiar with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nApply data engineering concepts including ETL processes, data warehousing, and data integration.\nUse version control tools such as Git and GitHub to manage and collaborate on code development.\nLeverage Unity 3D, Unreal Engine, or similar platforms for 3D development projects (optional).\nDemonstrate strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities when working with technical challenges.\nExhibit attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.\nCommunicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a professional environment.\nShow adaptability, a willingness to learn, and curiosity about AI, data, and emerging technologies.\nEligibility Criteria\nAll trainees must fulfil the following criteria:\nSingapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.\nGraduated in 2024, 2025, or 2026 from a University, Polytechnic, Institute of Technical Education (ITE), or other educational institution (including private universities and overseas institutions); or\nGraduated earlier from the above institutions and completed National Service (NS) in 2024, 2025, or 2026.\nMust have no prior working experience.\nMust be prepared to commit six (6) month full-time traineeship with DXC Technology.\nNote: Trainees who complete their studies in 2026 but will only receive their qualification or certification award in 2027 are also eligible to apply.\nWhat You Will Gain\nHands-on experience working on enterprise Data & AI projects.\nExposure to modern cloud, analytics, and artificial intelligence technologies.\nMentorship from experienced Data Scientists, AI Engineers, and Technology Leaders.\nPractical experience in data engineering, machine learning, and AI solution delivery.\nProfessional development within a global IT services organization.\nOpportunity to build industry-relevant skills and enhance future employability.\nLocation: Singapore\nEmployment Type: Full-Time Traineeship (6 Months)\nDepending on project assignment, you may be required to work at a client site and successfully pass any required security clearance checks.\nAt DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
