Some roles may also be subject to nationality requirements where these are necessary to meet UK Government or contractual security obligations.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupport a team of software engineers in the development of software products and solutions, providing guidance, code reviews, and technical support.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, ensuring the successful delivery of software projects.\nAssist in the professional growth and mentorship of team members through regular feedback, coaching, and career development planning.\nContribute to the execution of the software engineering strategy, participating in strategic discussions and technology assessments.\nManage project tasks and assignments, helping to prioritise and plan work to meet project goals.\nMonitor project timelines, resource allocation, and budgets to ensure efficient project execution.\nProactively identify and mitigate project risks, working to resolve issues as they arise.\nPromote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.\nWhat you'll bring\nDegree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nPrevious relevant work experience in industry, with experience in a similar role within software engineering. \nProficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies. \nStrong programming and debugging skills. \nSome prior experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity. \nFamiliarity with software development methodologies and best practices. \nGood communication and teamwork skills. \nWillingness to learn and grow in a leadership role. \nStrong organisational and time management skills.\nAt DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
