You'll play an important part in maintaining the health of the environment while helping to deliver upgrades, enhancements, and new capabilities.\nIf you enjoy solving technical challenges, working across diverse infrastructure platforms and being part of a collaborative engineering team, we'd love to hear from you. \nResponsibilities:\nAs Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and continually improving a secure enterprise infrastructure. Your work will include both BAU support and project delivery, ensuring services remain reliable, secure and available.\nYou'll be involved in:\nSupporting, maintaining and improving a Virtual Desktop Environment using Citrix and VMware technologies.\nManaging and maintaining Windows Server infrastructure, with some exposure to Linux environments.\nDelivering infrastructure upgrades, patching and lifecycle management across multiple platforms.\nAdministering backup and recovery solutions using Veritas NetBackup and Cohesity.\nManaging server patching activities using Shavlik.\nSupporting licence management infrastructure.\nMaintaining enterprise printing services.\nAssisting with network switch configuration and infrastructure changes.\nParticipating in infrastructure projects from planning through to implementation.\nInvestigating and resolving technical incidents, identifying root causes and driving permanent improvements.\nWorking within established change management processes to ensure safe and controlled delivery.\nCollaborating with colleagues across infrastructure, project and service teams to deliver the best outcomes for our customer.\nRequirements:\nWe're looking for someone who enjoys working across a broad infrastructure estate and is comfortable taking ownership of technical issues from investigation through to resolution.\nYou'll ideally bring:\nStrong experience supporting enterprise Windows Server infrastructure.\nExperience administering Virtual Desktop Environments using Citrix and VMware.\nKnowledge of infrastructure patching, upgrades and ongoing platform maintenance.\nExperience with backup technologies such as Veritas NetBackup and/or Cohesity.\nFamiliarity with server patching solutions such as Shavlik or similar products.\nExperience supporting enterprise infrastructure services, including licensing and printing platforms.\nBasic network switch configuration experience.\nA good understanding of ITIL change management and controlled change processes.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nThe ability to prioritise work across operational support and project delivery.\nExcellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with technical teams and customers.\nExperience with Linux infrastructure would be beneficial but isn't essential.\nWhy join DXC Technology?\nAt DXC, you'll be working with experienced infrastructure professionals on environments where technology genuinely matters.
