The following global and regional Indirect sub-categories will be supported by this role: Major Sub-Category Groups with global oversight include Professional Services (e.g., Certified Public Accounting, Business Process Consulting, etc.) and Business Services (e.g., Marketing & Communications, Market Intelligence, Business Print Services, etc.).\nResponsibilities include setting category strategies; supply base development to meet the company and customer requirements; and supplier contracting and negotiations; supplier qualification; and establishing quality processes while resolving quality issues.\nEmphasis is on strategy, supplier development, negotiations, business relationships, quality, cost, assurance of supply, and predictability. Develops the company procurement strategies, policies, and tactics required to achieve objectives. The primary objective is to reduce the cost of supply and meet demand requirements, business and quality specifications, improve supplier payment terms, and revenue goals. Adds value to the company by managing performance aspects of major contracts and subcontracts.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nSupport Corporate Functions and Offering organizations with sourcing and contracting requirements.\nLeads the assigned Major Sub-Category Group and provides direction and guidance to Regional Category Managers and Category Hub team members supporting Professional Services and Business Services.\nSupervises and guides a team of procurement professionals, supporting their development and performance.\nAnalyzes industry trends and procurement performance to support assigned categories and reports results to procurement leadership.\nOversees supplier engagements and contract compliance.\nCollaborates with internal and external stakeholders to meet procurement objectives and ensure procurement activities align with broader organizational objectives.\nContributes to the execution of procurement and supply chain strategies, with emphasis on achieving departmental goals and targets.\nUses supply chain, procurement, and financial modeling tools to analyze processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce cost.\nEngages in partner projects and applies experience, discretion, and judgment to align individual work with overall strategy.\nReviews performance metrics regularly, identifies improvement opportunities, and drives appropriate follow-up actions.\nWho you are:\nCandidates for this role must have:\nBachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nTypically, 7+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role in procurement or supply chain function.\nMust be legally authorized to work in US without requiring sponsorship now nor in the future\nProven experience in supply chain management.\nProficiencies in vendor management, cost control, and procurement strategies.\nGood knowledge and use of procurement tools and applications.\nGood understanding of procurement processes, industry, and suppliers.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nIn addition to the basic qualifications noted above, we find that individuals who are successful in this role have:\nSupply Chain Management experience in support of Indirect categories considered a plus.\nExperience in stakeholder management, able to demonstrate meeting stakeholder needs and still driving supply chain strategies.\nGood business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint) and basic supply chain modeling skills.\nStrong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).\nGood teamwork skills.\nDemonstrates a continuous-learning mindset and stays abreast of relevant industry knowledge and technology developments.\nUtilizes AI tools, digital assistants, and agentic solutions to enhance sourcing, contract management, analytics, stakeholder engagement, and operational processes.\nApplies AI to increase efficiency, improve insight generation, and focus resources on higher-value strategic activities.\nMastery of English and local language.\nCompensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $86,300 - $160,300.Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
