Learn more on dxc.com.\nMobile Applications Developer (Android)\nJob Responsibilities\nAnalyse, design, develop, implement, and provide post-production support for Android mobile applications.\n\nTranslate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, scalable code.\n\nDesign, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Android applications.\n\nEnsure optimal application performance, quality, and responsiveness.\n\nIdentify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and fix defects.\n\nMaintain code quality, organization, documentation, and test automation.\n\nSupport deployment, release, and post-release activities in production environments.\n\nCollaborate closely with backend, QA, and business teams in an agile delivery model.\n\nTechnical Skills & Experience\nCore (Must Have):\nAndroid mobile development using Kotlin and/or Java\n\nStrong understanding of Android SDK, app lifecycle, and multiple Android versions\n\nExperience integrating RESTful APIs\n\nExperience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning\n\nProficient in Git / SVN version control\n\nSQL and database interaction experience\n\nAdditional Skills (Good to have):\nExperience with cross-platform or frontend technologies such as React Native, TypeScript, and Angular (AngularJS exposure only if supporting legacy systems)\n\nFamiliarity with biometric authentication (Face ID / Fingerprint / Iris)\n\nExperience with push notifications and cloud messaging APIs\n\nExposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated build and release processes\n\nQualifications\nDiploma, Polytechnic, or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education)\n\n3-5 years of relevant Android development experience\n\nStrong understanding of Android UI/UX standards and Material Design\n\nExperience working in Agile / Scrum environments\n\nStrong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team\n\nProactive mindset with strong ownership, quality focus, and adaptability\n\n This role requires eligibility for a government security clearance (CAT 1) and, due to project requirements, is open only to Singapore Citizens.\nAt DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
